The Friendship Bell is modeled after the Emile Bell, which is the largest bell ever built in Korean history. Both are among the largest in the world.

The Korean Bell of Friendship is located on the former Upper Reservation of Ft. MacArthur. The bell is a replica of an ancient Korean shrine . The site is also known as Korean-American Peace Park .
