Burano Island

Awesome views on sunny days. Boat 12 from Fte. Nova. Brightly painted houses on both sides of the canals give it a surreal feeling. Walk, sip and relax on the island for an ideal holiday.

Do not miss this place at anycost on your trip to venice. Little difficult to reach but well worth it.. You will be in awe. Photographers paradise with so much colors!

Amazing! Got there on a trip day thanks to We_Crociferi Hostel recommendation. The pier to take the boat was very near from the hostel . Bring your camera , you will take plenty of photos here :)

Beautiful place which you shouldn't miss if you're in Venezia. Just take a vaporetto and let tale yourself on the island of colourful sailors houses and small lovely streets whith traditional crafts.

The only island that's worth the time to visit near Venice!. Really beautiful alleys and piazzas, nice places for making great pictures and rest. The food is a bit more expensive than in Venice.

A very nice experience can be had visiting Burano , popular for its lace making tradition and for its painted houses. Here, the 16th century Church of San Martino also merits a visit.

Picturesque island village of brightly colored buildings. Just walk around the island for a while and take in the sights. The main drag can be crowded at times, but you can't get lost.

The perfect getaway from busy Venezia, calm and simply beautiful. You feel like in another century on this island . A def must see when visiting the region there

Lace museum is okay, quite cheap so if you have time go there. Otherwise it’s incredibly beautiful and colourful! Journey really doesn’t feel long. Buy a day ticket and stop at other islands !

Relaxing , no crowds, beautiful simple building, friendly people other than venezian people and you will definitely enjoy the sea food

See little old ladies making lace by hand in any of the shops...you don't need to go to the lace museum for that. But go to the museum if you want to see a variety of patterns & lace objects.

An ad for Dulux just waiting to happen. It's amazing what a coat of paint can do. If everything was painted white it would be little more than a picturesque village .

Nice island with colorful houses...You can buy souvenirs and eat sth. in local resto./cafe. Don't forget to see «slant» tower...

Visit after 7pm. All the tourists are back in Venezia and you'll be the only non local here. You basically have the whole island to yourself!

Laces laces laces. Watch out - cheaper stuff is made in China. Real handcrafted lace of Burano cannot be cheap .

This was my favourite place when I visited Venice, I love the colourful houses , the lace in the shops, I could not resist walking for hours and window shopping everything.

A great day trip from Venice - just a 45 min vaporetto ride from San Marco, and you're in a picture perfect small town .
