Founder Agostino Giuntoli left Tuscany , Italy in 1922 at the age of 19 and sailed to America. He spent five years working his way to San Francisco and found a job as janitor at the famed Palace Hotel .
If going to a Tainted Love weekend show, buy tickets at least 1.5 weeks in advance. They always sells out, and you want to get tickets mailed to avoid waiting in the long will call line .

Another small, historic, pretty venue in SF with some good shows and overpriced drinks. Parking sometimes a challenge.
30s style club with lounge tables and multiple bars .
The definition of a swank, cavernous nightclub long before the Prohibition craze. Diverse, musical events galore. The back of the room is way too loud even if a plane landed you can't hear anything.
During special events the fishtank behind the bar has a 4 inch human in it. Only special events because 4 inch humans that beach underwater have an expensive hourly rate!
