Rocky Neck State Park is a state or provincial park Town of East Lyme located in United States.
244 W Main St Town of East Lyme , CT 06357 United States
Great beach for kids. Clean , no waves, bathrooms nearby. A train runs through once and a while. It's a rail car not a diesel train . Not loud . We visited in October and will visit next summer!
We found that east beach is great for toddlers! There is at least 1,000 or more feet of two ft deep water for them to stand in and the waves are so small it doesn't throw them down, def worth the $
Most of the boardwalk along the back of the beach disappeared (presumably from Superstorm Sandy ). This makes it somewhat less accessible for wheelchairs, strollers, rolling coolers, etc.
Rocky Neck State Park has a nice white sand beach , miles of trails for walking or hiking , a stone pavilion suitable for a reception, and beautiful views of the water. Perfect for a seaside wedding!
The perfect balance of beach and trees , this park is perfect for all ages and a great place to find cool sea shells.
It's more a active beach than relaxing beach . There was a group playing with ball making lot of noise around us.
One of my favorite places to hike and enjoy the beach as well , plus in walking distance from my house, can't beat that
To the right of the beach (as you're facing the water is a great lawn area with picnic tables and grills overlooking the water. The pavilion (now closed) is neat to look at too.
Lot of SMOKE near to jetty. People were cooking near to Jetty. They were very inconsiderate of others sitting on beach .
Beach is beautiful during the winter. Especially at sunset . Kids had a great time skipping rocks and finding shells.
If you get hungry, the bacon , egg , and cheese bagel at the concession stand is delish and served all day.
When you get here make sure to grab a spot halfway down the boardwalk . The two ends of the beach are crowded but the middle never is.
Good: Close bath rooms, can go into water up to 4 ft, no sea weed like some of other New England beaches . Bad things: little too crowded , camp site was too close so there was smoke.
Don't let the name fool you, the beach isn't rocky . It's delightfully sandy . The only downside are the train tracks that run behind the beach - but most of the trains are Amtrak, which are pretty quiet
Nice views , gets full early on nice summer days
Take a walk and enjoy the views !
Best spot to swim is down by the stream where the salt marsh drains.
Beautiful scenery and a great beach
A nice park to visit.
Absolutely stunning pavilion !
Nice mix of woods and beach !
Meg's point best area with kids. Bathhouse renovated.
Lush greenery and beaches !
Awesome. Best beach in CT
Nice, but small sandy beach . A few very pretty trails .
Good place for a pig roast
Great place to do your cardio workout.
Swimming , Camping , catching Mussell 's
The slight curve of the rustic cobblestone pavilion sitting atop a rocky bluff was designed to complement the crescent-shaped beach. http://bit.ly/O92yIq - The Connecticut Bride
Amazing castle. You can take a tour and see most of the rooms. Beautiful views of the Connecticut River too. - Rachel
Great, scenic 4 mile loop. Great run and walking trails. - Amy Schauster
Great place to bring the dogs and hike! - Janice Flynn
I always buy my books here and not just for the price. I love how cozy it is and all the cute hidden objects. Between fairy gardens and friendly cats I could spend hrs here before I even start reading - Abbetha Smith
I like this place but the only part of it that I didnt like was the concession stand. It was called Marc's Seaside Stand and the cashier was rude. She shoved our change at us and got our order wrong:( - Nynell Rodriquez
