Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort

This place is beautiful! The grounds are awesome, staff is very friendly , pools are great (though we preferred the "quiet pools" over the main one) and the Mill food court has some great food!

Beautiful area for such a relatively cheap resort option. This is a snapshot taken with a cell phone. They're short on amenities and descent dining but it's hard to beat for the price within Disney.

Love how some rooms can easily accommodate a family of 5 with this pull down bench . When it's up it's extra seating as a bench

The food court area is very large with a great variety of food at relatively affordable prices . If you don't mind sharing drinks, get a refillable mug and use it all week long for your whole family!

Nice resort . Very popular with families. Food court has good food. Staff is great. The biggest con is the bus transportation. They come once every twenty minutes during peak season. It was 45 mins.

The resort is beautiful! I noticed the staff wasn't as attentive compare to other resorts . The plus was that when we checked in, we had a room available! Multiple pools, plus a boat to Disney Springs

A great resort with an amazing ambiance. Before you buy at the parks , make sure you visit Fulton's. You can find pretty much all you need and even things that the parks have ran out of.

Took a family vacation here (family of five). Wonderful time. Great shuttle service to all parks . Anything we bought at any store was shipped back to our room for us. Very convenient.

Take advantage of the ferryboat that runs to Downtown Disney. Better yet, rent a Sea Raycer boat with another person and enjoy a self-guided drive to Downtown Disney and back! Not too expensive .

After 2 days here this is my favorite Disney resort . A very spacious , beautifully landscaped property. Even at full capacity, there's still a lot of areas for peace and quiet .

Go see Bob Jackson! He is the best performer at any of the resorts and the reason I come to the Port .

It has been Awesome!! This was out first visit to WDW!!!!! The resort was so nice there was six of us so we had connecting rooms they were royal rooms which my kids loved. FREE WiFi available NOW!!!!!

When getting of the bus from the parks make sure you know which depot they are stopping at. We stayed in Paterra Place and got of at the North Depot. Big mistake. Was a 15 minute walk to get back.

The staff at Disney's resorts and parks are accommodating and patient, even when dealing with exhausted tourists possessed with a sense of entitlement. When possible, give them a break and be nice.

Very spread out, nicely themed. Ride the boat to Downtown Disney. The dining hall has made to order omelets , pizza , pasta , and salads .

Nice pool, loved the boat taxi , cafeteria was always dirty , lots of dust fell off our fan so we couldn’t use it. We called down to front desk about it too. Didn’t help.

Large but quiet resort . Great transportation options throughout Disney World. They have a large food court and a sit down restaurant too.

Busses shmusses. This resort is almost perfectly positioned between all four parks and DTD. Drive to the parks and be at the gate faster than Disney transportation can get you there.

Bus Stop - Returning from the parks it goes in this order 1st North Alligator Bayou 2nd West Arcadia House 3rd Magnolia Bend and last is South the main dining hall and Check in area.

Really like this resort but it tends to cater to the older crowd. We stayed in room 2821 and it was pretty quiet and about a 10 min walk to the main building.

Great hotel . We stayed in the mansions and loved it. The riverside mill even made thanksgiving dinner for those of us away from home! I would highly recommend staying here.

Really nice resort , south depot is for the main building. WiFi is spotty in public areas and some buildings.

Fulton's General Store (right next to the lobby) is one of the best stores in all Disney area. No need to go from store to store looking around.

Great atmosphere if you want some peace and to be in a more nature themed setting. Jogging trail n pools are awesome.

The bounty breakfast makes me sad. It's one notch better than a McDonald's breakfast platter. The eggs are generic, the bacon anemic, etc. :(

Huge resort , 1/4 mile walk to bus depot and 3/4 mile walk to main pool no lobby. All this after walking 16+ miles at the parks .

Make sure you get a room towards main lobby. Makes everything easier. Riverside is very nice, clean and has pretty grounds! Pools are nice too. Although wasn't a fan of quick service food inside.

Nice hotel but very large and spread out. If you are planning to spend a lot of time at the hotel this is the one. Lots to do here, otherwise pick another hotel .

Be sure to tip your bellman or mousekeeper! You packed your bags, so you know how heavy they are. Your mousekeeper also cleans up after 16 other families (rooms). Be nice!

Get a room close to the main pool or lobby. Busses better up front. Great housekeeping, great food 5$ kids meals , piano bob in the bar . Only downside is it is a long bus to anywhere.

If you're celebrating a special occasion , ask concierge for a pin! They have birthdays, anniversaries, etc. or will write what you are celebrating on the pin. Very neat.

You can get a lot of the stuff you're looking for right in the Port Orleans store, without having to wrangle money, kids and stuff at the parks . So check the General Store before or after you go.

It is easy to get to the Disney World parks by bus , and you can take a free boat ride to Downtown Disney!

Breakfast is crazy in the main cafeteria . Don't bother getting thd oranges they aren't good. Go figure Florida oranges . Bananas are. Also omelettes snc the line is short for healthy omelettes

Great place to spend the day by the pool if you just want a chill/relaxed day in Disney!

This is the only resort we stay at when we come to WDW. Why? Because of the relaxing atmosphere ! We love it here!

Forget the mansion pools. Walk to the island for the big pool and waterslide. And the Bar is there!

The pool and the atmosphere is fun. Great with kids especially if you like the outdoors

Most nights at 9pm they show any range of Disney or Pixar classics! They have towels for you to sit on.

Stayed here 19 years ago on our Honeymoon when it was Dixey Landings. Now it is Riverside. Different name, same great place.

Stop here to see musician and comedian Yehaa Bob , playing shows four nights a week at 8:30. He's been doing his thing for almost 15 years! - Chad Parizman

The steak sandwich is the same price as the hot dog . WAT.

The Preferred Rooms are worth the extra $$ per night. Building 14 is closest to the good court!

Very clean and nice rooms. Beds are very comfy . Love this place.

Acadia rooms weren't that special. Boring decor of Steamboats . Very long walk to room and felt like a maze. I prefer the French Quarters of the two resorts . Better pool at FQ, more kid friendly .

The Royal Rooms are so convenient to the main building and bus depot , and the theming is gorgeous!

The perfect resort for a family of five, with the extra bed in alligator bayou.

Take the boat from Riverside to Downtown Disney at night. It's a nice way to start or finish the evening with that special someone!
