One of the best museums of its kind in the world. Far too much to see in one visit, so if you can it is best to "dip in" on short visits. The kids will love the space galleries !
Always loved it here but it gets a little tedious for an adult. Nonetheless it's definitely worth a visit- the ground floor space room is really cool and their shop is nice.
The "Cosmonauts" exhibition was the main reason we visited the museum and it was remarkable. The permanent sections are joyful as well . Lots of planes to see. Especially kids would love this museum ...
Good museum for little and older ones. I love going there every time, the permanent exhibitions and temporary ones are always good. The shop is probably the best part :)
Free tickets are available online, huge museum ! you need long hours to see all areas. Nearby so many attractions , underground tunnels , tube & bus stations for easy access . Tickets Bar Codes required
The 'space tour ' at 2pm (not sure if it's on every day is free and the volunteer tourguide (Joe) was very friendly & informative. He even extended the tour from 30mins to almost an hour. Nice man. :)
There are plenty of things to learn at Science museum; does not matter how old you are. Very comprehensive exhibitions . Free WiFi . I loved the communication part with first Cray super calculator.
Amazing place to go check out, possibly too big, but even so they give you plenty of seats to sit on! Would take best part of half a day or even an entire day to check out all the stuff they have here
The Cosmonauts exhibition (until 13 March 2016) has some amazing exhibits . Make sure to get the audio guide, voiced by Helen Sharman who was the first woman to visit the Mir space station.
this was my favorite museum as a child and still is. usually, there's some type of interactive exhibit where you can play and build things. really good for children but still, suitable for all ages.
The new Information Age exhibit is a must see, that aside the permanent collections are brilliant
One of the best! Play, learn, and discover new things. love this museum . It needs a couple of hours or half a day if you're up to it. Totally worth it!
One of the best museums in London , organised thematically. Great for a rainy or cold day.
Went to see the space capsule Tim Peake came back to earth in. But there is so much more to see & the shop is great!
The exhibits are interesting, up to a point. If you need a break from the barrage of stimuli, head to the cafe . It offers a welcome respite for an overwhelmed brain and uniquely ambient tabletops.
Huge museum that is free to enter for anybody! Highly recommended that you visit it and think about a donation. Need reservation (free) for some exhibition (e.g. Cyber Security)
I love this place and go everytime I visit London. Fantastic range of exhibitions and the recent (for me) upgrades on the food & drink side are great
Full of great expositions and activities, making for a very fun visit; Special praise to the Secret Life of the House exhibition , showing household appliances throughout the century - a personal fave!
Really ccol museum with lots of interactive areas! I was there on 1.1 and while at the neighbour museum (natural history) there was >1h queue, we entered immediately in the science museum
3d Imax movies are worth seing, especially the mysteries of the unseen world. We spent a full sunday with a child and couldnt see all. Lots if fun activities for kids.
Free admission to a big museum full of many exhibits & interactive elements. Go to the "Lates" evening that runs monthly on the last Wednesday for adults. Starts at 18:45
What a wonderful museum . Make sure you pay a visit to the newly opened Wonderlab - The Statoil Gallery . C'est fantastique! ????
Amazed by science? Then visit the breath-taking Science Museum. Experience every corner of science in this wondrous place, complete with an IMAX cinema ! Read more
Impressive plane collection but as an engineer , computer and communications section is best
Science Museum Lates are adults-only, after-hours theme nights on the last Wednesday of every month. Tickets are free online!
free. great fun for all ages, completely immerse yourself in all the fun that science has to offer. i love the space section, and they have great replica rockets!
Interactive museum , even adults turn into kids again. Go to the top floor for Red Arrow flight simulator. Their "Lates" is very well run, fun, and full of free workshops!
Free night for adults on the last Wednesday of every month called Lates. Sounded super cool, but the nights should be called 'Climbing Stairs and Waiting in Lines '.
Computing and technology gallery is great but beware, if you're over 40 having so many childhood memories on display is a museum can be unnerving!
My favorite museum in London , prepare to have your mind blown. I could spend a week here.
Don't want to buy your kids stuff in the museums amazing gift shop only to drag it around London? Buy it online and have it waiting when you get home. The museums online store is great.
Great museum ! Too crowded during weekends, tho it looks great for families with children. Lots of cool interactive stuffs, but be sure to bring your hand sanitizer. :D
Great place to come and view . Great food and service. Bring walking shoes and a drink as there is loads too see
The Science Museum includes exhibitions covering all aspects of science and technology and is great fun for the kids, especially with special exhibitions out of School hours.
Great fun, especially the 'Lates' which are held on the last Wednesday of every month. Really good prices too, loads of fun
It's very big, so it gets a little overwhelming. I was surprised that it wasn't more child-friendly. We went to their big cinema and it was really good. We went to their 4D cinema - it wasn't good.
Really fun museum with lots of cool exhibits to learn about science! Make sure you check out the medical section on the top floor!
As you arrive (or before), check the schedule for the IMAX Theatre in the back of the ground floor of the museum , so you do not miss that movie you would love to see.
Surprisingly, the Science Museum hosts great photography exhibitions on a regular basis: Parr, Talbot, Ray-Jones, Soth etc. Check them out!
Beautiful, huge!!! And one of the rare places where you can see a piece of rock from the moon, a Spitfire and an Harrier.
Unique dinner surrounded by some monumental science history! Not an everyday experience at the Science Museum!
Huge place. Lvl 5 is a bit confusing to get to. Ask a volunteer! Mummies, spaceships, rockets, planes and more!
Amazing! Their display of aircrafts and engines are breathtaking. Also communications, maths and computing. Avoid it on early weekdays, annoying shouting and running school kids everywhere
Start visiting Benugo for breakfast near the energy hall : egg sandwiches , cookies and pains au chocolat are just perfect !!!
Go to the top floor and check out the exhibits on the history of mathematics and computing; so much fun!
Great day out for kids of all ages. Horrified to see some of my early tech among the exhibits , but a fascinating learning experience
If you are keen on sone real science, better go through all the old exhibition first, in the main hall and upwards. Still, there are some 'new format' exhibitions , quite childish, they are separated.
Engineers and technology lovers should visit this museum . Best thing about it is the retro-exhibitions and the Earth section.
Exhibitions were okay, mainly targeted for kids. The "science through the ages" was the best, less kids running around too.
Impressive in size and displays! Worth a visit - come early to avoid the crowds!!
They have some really good presentations here, very interesting. Lots of steps to climb to get up there, but worth it. - Richard Dickins
Free entrance and free wifi. It takes about 4 hrs to check out all floors. - Marko Dugonjic
