The House of Pizza & Calzone

Good all-around Brooklyn slice joint. Great calzones here—they're deep-fried rather than baked, and that make all the difference. The upside-down slice is also good.

Been coming here since I was a kid, best deep fried calzone I've ever eaten. Matter of fact the only place I know that makes deep fried calzone .

There aren't many great corner pizzerias left in Brooklyn. This is one of them. Plain and Grandma's pies are solid.

The grandma slice here is the best I've had in all of NYC

The calzones are the thing to order here, especially the fried ones.

Order the grandma pizza . You won't regret it.

Have the margarita panini . Fresh bread made from pizza dough , handmade mozz , basil and tomato

Decent slices here. Fried calzone is a fave among customers but far too intense for me. Too much ricotta . Staff is a bit rude and pretty slow for a pizza joint. Whatever it's pizza .

Get delivery , as their take out "system" is disorganized and painful to watch.
