National Monument (Tugu Negara)

The National Monument commemorates the fallen soldiers during WWII and the Malayan Emergency.The best time to visit is at dawn, where a soldier raises the national flag and lowers it again at dusk.

A nicely done memorial to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for Malaysia. Reminded us of the Iwo Jima memorial in Washington DC. It's free and there's a small food stand on entry.

Such beautiful place to visit but sadly the Jalur Gemilang held by our beloved Tugu Negara was old, and torn due to the weather. Hopefully the caretaker would replace the flag as soon as possible!

Many years on and still very well preserved. One of must visit places to learn about the country 's war histories.

Dramatically impressing sculpture of the important battle in history of Malaysia. Very beautiful site around the Monument . Also place of good view .

The park was nice and clean . The landscape was full of greenery . Would love to have a picnic here with family.

Remembering our nation heroes! Dont forget to bring caps or umbrella! Gotta save your skin too hehe

Dedicated to the fallen heroes of the two World Wars, this National Monument is where you can also find the ASEAN Garden , which has great sculptures by remarkable artists .

Relax in the park and take photos around the monuments . Must for tourists .

The most underrated spot in KL, which makes this place a plus i.e. crowd is almost non-existent on a Sunday morning when I visited.

A very must visit place if you meant to have some historical journey

You may see the stone is engraved with classic bahasa "Untok mengingati jasa pahlawan2 yang gugor" Cool!

The seven bronze human figures, atop an oblong base; each figure denoting one of seven qualities: courage, leadership, sacrifice , strength, suffering, unity and vigilance.

One of the most underrated stopovers for those looking for spots of interest within Kuala Lumpur.

Never got a chance to really visit but will come back.

Quiet and peaceful , with lots of trees .

More peaceful than lake gardens across the road . After4pm u get a nice breeze

Tired of city ? stop by and you got to see Tugu Drum Circle every Sunday evening.

Not accessible via public transport . You got to drive your own car.

Entry road is really sucks n inconvenience, so do parking space
