This is the best museum for children. So much for kids to get involved in and play with. Plus it has beautiful scenic views of the bay .

You won't dread taking the kids to this open-air museum on the water. Visit the petting zoo and arts center (kids can paint on the walls!). Nearby Cavallo Point is great for a glass of wine later.
For once, the baby play area isn't an afterthought—they have their own building here, a warren of tunnels , soft crawl spaces, and water-filled cushions just for the littlest explorers!

Here on a Monday and you almost have the place to yourself.
Water room is the best with a Waterfall tunnel , three water lilly pond (waterbed like) and one with a clear dome and fish .
Bring a bag of pennies, seriously! You will not regret.
Do not miss out outdoor spade and gravel play, which is at least one hour's entertainment for 2-6 year olds.
