Grouse Grind is a hiking trail North Vancouver located in Canada.
6400 Nancy Greene Way North Vancouver BC V7R 4K9 Canada
Go solo. This allows you to go at your own pace. That way you won't feel pressured to keep up or wait for friends.
If you're willing to walk up this 3000-foot mountain trail (it's more or less a staircase straight up), you can explore Grouse Mountain and ride the Gondola down for free! Wear your hiking shoes .
Buy an annual sky ride pass and you can ride unlimited for a year. Also buy a timer chip for $22 extra and for every 10 hikes you get a free smoothie . Proceeds go to a kids charity .
Great cardio , leg & butt work out! Gondola Tram down is $10 flat. Every Saturday until the end of August, Free YOGA at 10am at the top of Grouse Mountain !
On a serious note, there are NO garbage cans on the way so please do nature a favour and bring your bottles all the way to the top. A simple way to preserve what nature has provided to us.
For a scenic hike , do the Grouse Grind. To get lost, take the BP Trail . #Vancouver http://www.cirquedusweet.com/2013/07/vancouver-grouse-mountain-and-capilano.html?m=1
Take a slow & steady approach while climbing up the mountain or you'll burn out fast. Don't forget to take rests whenever you can. I saw a guy in front of me almost fall down the trail today!

Skip the cafe & head down to Mother's Herbs on E 14th @ Lonsdale. The BEST post-grind smoothie ever! Yes it's $10, but it's worth $20 (you just paid $12 for a gondola ride anyways, suck it up ;)
don't "hike " straight up the stairs, serpentine pattern will cut your time in half and save your legs
Don't even think about doing this without a water bottle in your hands. 1 Hour nonstop uphill. But it is so much fun!
Tough power hike , but super rewarding. Try to go earlier in the day to avoid heat and tourists .
This is not a hike , this is a workout. Be sure to bring water and a light power snack .
You don't have to be a fitness beast to conquer the grind, just make sure you don't try to keep up with the locals...
Be strong and finish it! The view is worth it!
There's no water fountains at the top. Bring your own water bottle.
A well deserved view after 56 minutes of high paced grind ! Breathtaking.
Take it easy and try not to stop for more then 90 seconds...keep pace and you will get there in no time..
It was great, and not that steep. Fun experience.
Tough but totally worth it. Bring water .
Know your pace. For novice hikers allow at least 2 hours
Pepperoni cheese sticks in the coffee shop are awesome!
Truly for the Elite Fitness Enthusiast - Breath Taking Views as you climb the steep mountain top....
"Relentless" is the best way to describe this trail !
Use the red painted markers for your quarters. They are closer time wise than the blue ones.
Don't bring jeans or your baby.

To say you did it. Expect to take the cable car back down, but it's a fantastic cardio workout to go up this mountain side
Enjoy the 1st quarter, it doesn't get any easier!
Early mornings to beat the crowds
Cannot say other than it's a challenge.
Brutal. Glad I did it but BRU-TAL.
