So delicious! The vibe was very casual and unassuming but the food was quite good. Their japchae was fantastic! Everything we ate was great. Grilled or in a boiling pot of soup is the way to go!
Get the budae jigae to share. If you like chicken gizzards , try the mild version (if you're not a big fan of spicy , even this level of spiciness will be too spicy for you).
A favorite Koreatown spot with plenty of soju and beer to wash down the spicy food . Don't miss the budae jjigae ; one order is enough to serve three or four.
Come here for the watermelon soju . 40$ gets 3 people drunk and it’s rly delicious! Do expect to wait a lot tho
Fantastic vibes and amazing food. Great to go with a bunch of friends because you can get the watermelon soju drinks which are awesome, and it’s tapas style . Would highly recommend!
Likely to have a hefty wait but put your name down and they'll text you. Food is ok - korean street/bar food but decor and ambiance are fantastic. Best to come in a group.
Don't hesitate to order watermelon soju and pork belly stuffed squid ! Portions are huge (at least for me). Oh and the food is spicy ;) enjoy!
The watermelon drink looks great. Small place, food is decent but priced like other ktown restaurants . Be wary of the tip they suggest on bill, they base it after tax total. No on visa, yes on amex.
1. Order watermelon soju . 2. Order extra bottle or soju . 3. Drink a little then Pour extra bottle of soju in the watermelon . 4. Enjoy your drunk
Try the Squid stuffed with ground pork - This is some of the best Korean food I have ever had. If in NYC and you like Korean food , put this on your bucket list.
The go-to spot for watermelon soju and some filling budaejigae. Order for the table and have it family style
Watermelon soju is my fav ;) their messy decor is kinda cool. squid soondae , spicy mussel soup , n seafood pancakes r my go to menu with soju ;P
The place to end the night (and maybe PTFO at the table?). Usually a wait though. Budae jigae and watermelon soju to share with the group.
I had this amazing soup with a chewy noodle , forgot the name but it was super tasty! Also get the soju served in a watermelon !!
Budae-jjigae was weirdly delicious. Don't describe it to friends who are about to try it for the first time. Let them just have it. Don't get the watermelon soju .
They have melon soju too!
The food is amazing, udon is delightfully chewy, spicy pork has amazing flavor. Watermelon soju is indeed tasty.
Has a lot of charm in an army-tent-under-the-sea feel. No, that did not make sense, but you'll see. We got a seafood pancake and bulgogi , yummy.
Hands dwn ..Go 2place 4 sum fab Korean food . Ive been come'b here 4 the past few years n i take out of towners here. U wiill just b treated horribly if u Rn't Korean. TIP: have a Korean friend with u!
Get the boodae jungol if you are adventurous in a group setting. Sounds weird but delicious!
The squid stuffed with pork was amazing! Didn't care for the watermelon soju (very watered down).
Great little upstairs spot, sort of a mix between a bar and restaurant . Try the watermelon soju
Alison says: "If you decide to stop by Koreatown, this is a fun place; get the budae jigae (serves 3+) and watermelon soju "
Watermelon soju is a must. Order another bottle of soju to add to it cause it's not very strong. Good is pretty good, too.
Well worth it just for the atmosphere! Love the fact that the walls are covered in a green net, just write a message on you chopstick paper and leave it there! :)
Watermelon soju is obviously the thing to get, but best to get it in season, dukbokki and japchae are great too
Soju punches a great, be warned the pineapple is small. Squid soondae is excellent--squid stuffed with pulled pork !
Watermelon soju !!!! And shrimp on salt and the crispy kimchee pancake
The Korean version of chicken and rice , as in a gathering of drunks at the end of a night to grub. Food is so good.
The most fun place in K Town . One of my favorite Korean restaurants in New York City .
Watermelon Soju is a must, along with bulgogi rice !
Corn and cheese . Army stew . Japchae . Bring a bunch of friends after a night out to help you eat it all
The Squid Soondae (spuid filled with pork belly ) is a must have
Watermelon soju or you'll regret it. Also, the dried squid is a good snack .
Super funky environment. Love the atmosphere.
Watermelon soju & squid stuffed with pork belly 👍👍👍
Everyone who cones here gets the watermelon soju , and for good reason. Their stews are also quite good.
The budae jigae and yogurt soju were incredible. Unless you have a medical condition which prevents you from drinking alcohol , for the love of whatever spiritual deity you follow, get the yogurt soju .
Decent food, the watermelon/pineapple soju and the atmosphere is very fun! Good for a group
They request you give cash tip..So if I have no cash, I'm not going to tip. Service is the worst. But I can't stop coming here cuz their food is so damn good. The dduk boki and haemuhl pajun is a win
This place was fabulous. A little Korean hole-in-wall. Kinda small, but it has character. Great selection of food!
Get the pineapple and watermelon drinks. Incredibly unique and strong too!
Boodae Jungol (kimchi , spam, ramen carousel) is delcious
Ask your waiter about the watermelon special .. seriously
Went upstairs, followed instructions to leave our name and wait downstairs. 20 minutes later after wondering how everyone who went upstairs never came back down turns out they were all seated. WTF.
Chill place to hang out with friends at night. Serves food as well
This place does the best army stew in al K-town. Get buddies together and share an order over drinks.
Melona soju is just as amazing, if not better than the watermelon soju !
It worth a visit. Try the bulgoki rice . If you love weird place, you will love this one!
This place is just awesome to grab food and get drunk.
Get the tofu pots. The taste is incredible. Prepare to be full. - Johnny Wu
Try the 5 non-marinated combo. Plenty of protein. The egg soup is always delicious. - Karen
Kimchi chige is awesome. They will make the stews vegetarian friendly:) - Bianca Lam
Get the bulgogi(beef) with rice. comes with a side of soup all for 6 dollars! so filling! - Sam H
For those who like to lounge, this lovely cafe serves fried hodduk and Toby's Estate coffee. Both are great! - Caro Chon
Solid choice in Ktown for a chill night or pregame. Anju and soju combos are great - Sharonn Zheng
