Tofu soup is great. I tried the mixed tofu soup and I love it. Spicy lover must try danger spicy and people who want mild spicy should order standards the rib is good too. Seafood pancake is not bad.
Come after midnight and you can literally split an entire galbi/kalbi meal with soondubu and hella banchan for around $12 between 2 people. Best, probably yummiest late night deal in NYC ❤️
If you're Korean and like marinated crabs , try their spicy crabs here! Really bang for your buck and tasty! They cut it up into easy pieces so you don't have to get your hands dirty as much.
Excellent jap chae, definitely worth a try. If you're a vegetarian , don't be surprised by the fish they bring out, just tell them you don't eat it. Overall good option as a solo diner . Quick service .
Serves great Korean food . Really yummy soft tofu soup (soondubu ) in Koreatown. Nice side dishes and fish . I like the mushroom tofu soup . Gets very busy during peak hours, so be prepared to wait.
Inexpensive and filling spread of high quality Korean eats. The hot pot of fresh tofu with kimchi is amazing. Plus it comes with several delicious sides (and free refills).
Very good food. They have a brunch of nice lunch sets. Loved the Beef and the chicken . Tofu soup was also very good
Great Korean food ! The banchan is awesome (the fish is delicious!). Try their homemade tofu , coming in a sizzling soup . Also great hot-stone bibimnbap. No reservations , but the line moves fast.
Come with a few friends and order a bunch of food to all try. I'd recommend the Soondubu (tofu soup ), Spicy Pork Bulgogi , and Bulgogi (rib eye ) - all of the dishes were delicious and so flavorful
Very tasty & reasonably priced K food. Grilled Galbi & spicy pork (cooked in kitchen) were ESP good. On hot days, it gets steamy in here! AC isn't great here. Ban chan are a little lackluster
Very good organic tofu . u'll find plenty of vegetarian dishes . It is possible to customize possitios from menu if i have any diet restrictions. Great place to eat lunch/dinner with friends or familly
Be prepared to wait. But, delish food on a cold wintery night. Got the mixed seafood and beef soondubu ! Lots of food, could feed two peeps! Also, I got it regular spice and it was hot enough!
Love BCD. Tofu bowls are really quite good
You're here for the soondubu , but other stuff like like japchae is great too!
Soondubu (tofu soup ) is so great! U can opt with or without meat in ur soup . Personal opinion, I'll opt without. After all, what they are good for, tofu right? Just haf a simple soup to taste the tofu
I love this place! The appetizers are amazing. They give you a whole fish ! Usually I order the seafood pancake , tofu soup , and kalbi . I love it here. The servers are nice and friendly .
In all my years coming here just recently found out no meal here is 100% veg in spite of seeming it (made w/ fish sauce or chicken stock ). You can put in the request with your server to make it so.
Get the Kimchi sondoobu tofu soup with bulgogi & mushrooms ($2 extra). Bulgogi portions look big enough to feed two. Avoid coming with a group unless you want to wait at least 45 minutes.
the soondubu jjigae (spicy tofu stew ) is excellent, as are the banchan (side dishes). if you're feeling adventurous, get the spicy raw crab . it's really great with a cold beer .
The tofu is very good. Crack the egg into the stew as soon as it’s brought to you, boiling.
Dank af . night special is great. I got the ribs which came with tofu soup , rice , little kimchi things, an egg , and fried fish . So good. I'll definitely be back ;)
Veggie soontofu is so comforting on a cold day. +They give you a free fried fish to start
Galbi was delicious! The banchan was good, although the kimchi was little, too fresh and not fermented. I loved the japchae & ttekboki shares plates!
When you crave squid , their marinated squid (E4) delivers
Great lunch specials ! Love the mixed meat and seafood Tofu or the kimchi Tofu bowl with spicy pork bulgogi .
favorite korean restaurant in Ktown -- love their kimchee soondubu .
Had the kimchi soup ! Mild spiciness !!! Good and exotic ! Looots of food for 11,99! Good place in Korea Town
Great spicy tofu soup . Loved the variety of veggies . Quick service . Meat menu also good.
Great portions for lunch soup all for $13. Try the beef soon soup really good especially on a cold day
Absolutely loved the jong uh bibimbap and the tteokbeokki! The jap chae was also good! Vegetarian options were incredible too!
Awesome banchan here includes a free fried fish per person! Dumpling soondubu also has beef in it! Best deal especially if you want to try their dumps .
Soondubu is the signature dish, definitely! But the bibimbap is super good too! Generous banchan !
Spicy pork belly is delicious and fatty and wonderful.
Soondubu with kimchi is amazing. I did danger level and it’s very manageable. Kimchi here is AMAZING and before you can ask for@more it’s replaced.
Best Korean in the city . Get one of the hot pots on a cold night to warm you up
One of my favorite Korean restaurant they served more appetizer like the fried fish so good, kinda crowded dome time its worth waiting.
Delicious Tofu Stew and amazing refills on the banchan . Skip the lunch combo as the stew is really filling on it's own
Very generous banchan . Tofu soups are filling and tasty. Efficient service. Open late . A winner in K-Town.
The lunch specials are expensive as hell but it's a ton of food? The galbi lunch special seemed even better than those at the more highly touted Kang Ho Dong and Jongro...
Place is large, so wait times are short even when the queue seems overwhelming. Service is fast and they do the food justice. Most of clientele is Chinese.
the galbi is so good here ! The mixed seafood tofu soup is my favorite. It's very affordable for lunch .
Attentive, proactive service and good food. Get here early to put your name down and duck into the Koreatown shops while you wait!
LISTEN: Eat the little fish . Crack the egg in your soup as soon as you get it. The appetizers are free - if you like it, ask for more.
Love their fried fish and seafood pancake
One of my go-to places for Korean tofu stews (soodubu jjigae). The side dishes here feature a fried mackerel .
Open 24 hours . Order the seafood pancake (large one to share) and seafood tofu stew . Doesn't get better than that.
Soft tofu dishes are all good- and the pork belly was juicy and tender. Yum!
Always come with an empty stomach! All the food is worth getting if you want to venture out of the tofu soup .
They have really good soft tofu soup . If you come to the place late at night, they give you a side order of egg casserole for free!!!!!
The tofu soups here are just TOP NOTCH. Lots of choices to choose from, but the best is beef .
Budae jijage is a must. Also try the pig intestine :) oh and they accept amex! - John Cook
For those who like to lounge, this lovely cafe serves fried hodduk and Toby's Estate coffee. Both are great! - Caro Chon
Favourite bakery in Korea Town! All pastries are fresh daily and their morning coffee and croissant combo is gold. - Sanam Lakhwara
Good place to drop by for desert, the fresh green tea cake is my favorite - Sam H
