Best experience. The staff passion on Japanese whiskey and sake is fascinating. The food is amazing. Worth the expensive bill. Book ahead.
amazing japanese. on par with shuko nyc & just as pricey . hard to find as cars can't drive directly to building & brown door is invisible. it's just to the right of the glass door with address above.
You can trust Matt on the food, please reserve the seat front of the bar and try the whisky collection built up by Eillot. Must try the Yoichi 25 years raw while bottle last.
Ronin is definitely one of the place you have to stop by in Hong Kong, be it for the food, crafted drinks or the impeccable service . Ask for their recommendations, and you’ll be taken care of.
Small intimate setting , good for dates . I loved the flower crab with uni. Sashimi selection is unique & the range of flavors is amazing. Good whisky dessert drinks (we tried cacao nibs and maple ).
Japanese whiskeys , sakes and fantastic food. Everything on the menu is carefully prepared using fresh ingredients and the service is great! I'm yet to find a dish I don't like. Highly recommended!
1 of fav food experiences w/ modern serene speakeasy vibe. Food to talk abt for months. Trust Mamta to bring her suggestions for outstanding culinary tour . Mamta and Gail's care equally noteworthy.
Easily one of the best hidden gems in HK. ????Exquisite drink selection and service, beautiful fresh ingredients and intimate atmosphere . ????????The sword fish sashimi was a real treat. ????
Every dish here was very good, but it’s also very pricey . Signature dishes are flower crab with uni and the beef sukiyaki carpaccio
If you can et reservations (and you can find the hidden door ) prepare to enjoy a pricey but excellent meal.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Izakaya , get the chef 's choice. Incredible Japanese whisky selection . Make a reservation and it's a tricky spot to find, an inconspicuous door. $$$$
Superb Japanese restaurant . Daily changing menues . Everything we had was prefect. Their house Umeshu on the rocks is the best
Great for a date - get ready to pay $1000-$1500hkd/ pp. Flower crab uni, black pilsner battered tilefish, geoduck clam sashimi , quail orange sansho, highballs worth a try!
Some good dishes (grilled grunt fish and the market chips ), but a lot of their "popular" dishes (flower crab & uni, unagi rice ) are really not worth the hype. Their whisky collection is impressive!
Pricey place although the ambiance and food are very exquisite.. Refined food with a great selection of sakes and whisks! There is no sign in front of the restaurant - the entrance is a big grey door
Food is always amazing: anything we tried was above our expectations. Expensive but it's worth the money. Great beers too!
Awesome food and whiskey . Definitely a place to check out.
Whisky Bar with Japanese Food Pairings. Excellent Quality and very nice staff . Will come back - sometime
Coolest speakeasy Japanese Restaurant . Amazing food and service.
Delicious food and amazingly genuine service. Recommend sashimi , oysters , and beef with egg .
Pricey food but all dishes I tried were OMG-level good. The menu changes everyday depending on what they get from Japan. My favs: oysters , triggerfish, and skate tempura .
Everything is amazing and incredibly fresh, but you must get the Kagoshima beef . The BEST.
Good date spot . Order any of the highballs (really refreshing) and have the maple old fashioned/coffee shochu for dessert .
Their beef carpaccio dish is fantastic. Great hidden spot
An excellent service, try sashimi and Flower crab with Mitsuba and Uni.
extremely delicate japanese food - the flower crab was definitely more than just gimmicky
Email seats@roninhk.com to make a reservation up to one week in advance.
The Foodie Forks 2014 • Best Restaurant (honourable mentions) mysterious location, phenomenal service , quality ingredients in an imaginative menu
KFC are nice but if you see the flower crab with uni, you better order 2! SO GOOD.
Order the Market Menu and let the super knowledgable staff take care of you. The Udon dish was my fav.
Awesome place with delicious drinks and food. Great selection of cocktails . Quiet and relaxed atmosphere .
Japanese Tasting Menu . An izakaya-style dining bar with a focus on fish , seafood , and Japanese spirits
the menu changes daily but if they have the uni nori panko GET IT
Amazing place n food. Was hard to find the entrance :)
Coffee shochu ! Standing seats are an option if you can't get a rez-- not bad for a pre-dinner drink and bite.
Speakeasy place yet not your ordinary restaurant in HK. We only able to get standing tables but the dishes did impress us genuinely
"While the menu changes daily, the organizing principle—‘raw,’ ‘smaller,’ and ‘bigger’—remains the same.” - Pilar Guzmán Read more
Their menu changes daily but if fried crab comes back, definitely get it!
Very fancy and exciting experience. Try Canadian wines !

Food was delicate but moreish with a lovely play of textures and flavors
Fresh products , tasty
Don't forget to TIP service not included AWESOME
This place is heaven for whisky lovers!
This was the perfect finale.
Fresh products , tasty, but extremely overpriced, very small portions, 1000 $hk for two and we still hangry
The oyster is unbelievable!
Food quality was disappointing. Drinks were average. Quite pricey and be prepared to be kicked off your seat n will have to finish the food and drink standing up. Will not recommend or come back
Yes this too n
Sushi , fish
Enjoyed the mildly seasoned tare style yakitori from Tokyo. Loved the Shoyu soy sauce ice cream too. Come early for the very limited chicken crown! - Daniel C.
This restaurant is a rare triple-threat in HK, lovely service, great design, and delicious food. - Stephen Best
the largest mammoth-sized oysters I have ever seen. The Oysters ($78), fresh from Hyogo, flavoured with a Yuzu ponzu and garnished with red onion are just as big in flavour as they are in size. - Henry
I can’t rave about this place enough. Always a good vibe and great cocktails. The staff is very friendly. I recommend getting there early to sit at the bar but no matter what stop in! - The Rituals
Expensive, but very good cocktails and great atmosphere. Have one of the Earl Grey martinis - Ian Sullivan
Consistently great modern Chinese cuisine with friendly service and a bumping soundtrack. Try the wagyu short ribs, roast goose, dumplings, steak tartare & lamb dan dan noodles. - Indulgent Eats
