Shop, food, drinks, and music ! This place is usually happening early on. Hit this market square party early on THEN make your way towards the River Walk where it gets happening later on in the day.
The rich culture of San Antonio abounds throughout the plazas of Market Square. Market Square is the largest Mexican market in the U.S. with a three-block outdoor plaza . Read more
Love it down here! It's a tourist spot but shouldn't be overlooked by locals. We forget we are lucky to have this place always available when others may only get to see it once in a lifetime, enjoy!
I hope you love our beautiful city just as much as we do!!! Be sure to stop by Mi Tierra Cafe open 24/7, Hemisfair Park , the Riverwalk, the Tower, & of course- The Alamo!!! :-D
Food is authentic and delicious. In love the old photos on the walls. Especially the old ones with a mixture of horse and buggy and cars.
Very cute little square with plenty of street vendors and restaurants
If you want to feel like you're in Mexico , go to El Mercado to shop and eat at Mi Tierra (and drink!) There's always a party going on, and it's a great place for photo ops for your profile.
Always lively , fun for the whole family with delicious food, drinks, shopping and music
Search the blocks around the market square to look for the best parking . It ranges from $5-$20. Also a lot of the time (depending on the time of day) street parking is free.
The trolly is your best friend! One of the easiest ways to get around because traffic can be so crazy at times. Have change :) tip the drivers because they're so awesome a
Quirky market with lots of souvenirs to take home. Nice restaurant at the end too.
Good place to pass time. You can grab some food or catch a good deal on clothes ,etc. A+
Beautiful place to shop and snack on churros .
Featuring the largest Mexican market in the U.S., the Market Square provides a variety of dining, shopping and festivals .
Even though it's lost it's authentic Mexican market feel it's still pretty cool but way to many made in China sellers
HOAKEY SHOPS & MARKET !!! Do NOT waste your time. The city & tours say this is a "must see" and I would absolutely, positively disagree.
Awesome place
It's a big flea market with several vendors. They're really friendly , and you can attempt to barter prices. Some have really great things, some junk, but a great & colorful experience.
Beautiful market with cultural gems.
A lot of cool places to shop and beautiful things to choose from
Nice place to visit and walk around but, a little pricey for the food and drink.
Fantastic food, fun, music and entertainment, shopping
Fan Fair great if you love Tejano music . Mi Tierra great place to eat
Bring your walkin' shoes . And some of the street art is fantastic.
Awesome place for handcrafted goods and imports.
Take cash. Many of the little shops will offer a small discount , if you don't pay with a debit or credit card.
Bring cash, and get an El Pariso ice cream bar for a break from shopping.
Many stores sell the same items . Shoppers willing to do some extra walking should be able to spot the best price.
My favorite spot in San Antonio.
Look around at all the shops. They all have the same items but not the same price! :)
HOAKEY SHOPS & MARKET !!! Do NOT waste your time going in. Go for the restaurant , if you're interested.
Come here to eat and then browse through the market .
The Fiesta Experience, at least a little, year round....
Gives you the feeling of being in Mexico . Great place to spend a lazy day.

Love this place
It has great clothes and antiques .
Get a gordita ????
Love the decorations & the experience!
If you're into kitschy tourist traps, be my guest.
It looks like a something that is not exactly a Mexican market but it's not a cultural place at all. I don't like it.
I had the sliced fruit with lime squeezed over it and chili sauce added. YUMMY!!!
Awww... felt like i was in Mexico ! Viva Peidra Negras!
Mexican street food .
Be sure to buy an "Aguas fresca " from one of the vendors. I love watermelon flavor.
$5 32oz beer in the pavilion. Can't be beat!
A bunch of touristy stuff. It's usually crowded and hot, but if you are clever and come during winter during the week, it's really easy to get in and out, and you can haggle prices easier.
Great place to rest and cool off. Try a Tostiloco with corn for a real treat and the Aguas Frescas are great too. - Moe Dexler
Fantastic lunch place. Service was top notch. The chix avocado wrap was delicious. - Kelly Kermode
Cafe's, street trucks, public art displays, farmer's markets, with a main historical cathedral housing the bones of 3 Texan Heroes! - Tony T
Nice place, recommended to everyone like Christmas lights. - Christobal Santiago
Great place to eat. Staff are friendly and quick. There's always going to be a wait because of the popularity of the restaurant, but I assure you the food and margaritas are well worth the wait. - Jacelyn Rhame
