Die Flora wurde 1864 als palastartiger Wintergarten aus Gußeisen und Glas eröffnet. Die Gestaltung lehnte sich an den Crystal Palace in London und an den Jardin d'Hiver in Paris an. Nach einer Generalsanierung wurde das Palais 2014 mit dem im Krieg zerstörten Glaskuppeldach wiedereröffnet.

Sehr schöner botanischer Garten mit tollen Veranstaltungen wie Antik Markt . Die kulinarische Versorgung ist Verbesserungswürdig, die Terrasse zum Sitzen aber sehr schön .
