Cliff Walk

Bring good walking shoes/hiking boots , water & sunscreen . Breathtaking views & a great workout, unfortunately parts of the walk is closed due to Hurricane Sandy & should reopen late this summer.

Literally I can't get enough of this place. It's close to my home bout 35 min' drive and I go back and forth every other week. You can walk, run, set, surf and even enjoy a delicious lobster roll .

Start at the 40 Steps and follow the signs towards The Breakers Mansion . The path isn't perilous at all, despite the signage.

Great vistas of the sea. Come here to watch the sunset and sunrise, walk around the Newport, and enjoy the sea. Be careful though, lots of poison ivy along the walk.

Great place for photography . I got really good shots. I started at the Forty Steps (also a great place) and walked down the cliff walk.

Stunning views . Park on the street for free near downtown and take an Uber to and from the Cliff Walk to save time and money.

A must stop in Newport. It's an easy to walk path with amazing views . The path is dog friendly with a ton of photo opportunities .

Awesome place to have a run, jog, walk or stroll. Although when i was there a massive troll jumped out from under the cliff and left a this bit of destruction. Bastard.

Great walk to view the Ocean and the Mansions . Stay on sidewalk as there is a lot if poison ivy !!!! Seriously. Be careful.

Beautiful walk , terrain isn't bad except for a few short stretches of large rocks.

If you come at spring, the wild roses along the rail will blew your minds.
