Great location, free wifi (the login says 12 hours complimentary but just keep logging in for free) and a lot of history, be sure to visit Nikola Tesla 's room 3327, he spent his last years living here

Great location with comfortable rooms . The 24hr Tick Tock Diner is handy and tasty. Views of the Empire State from rooms at the front <3 I enjoyed my 7 night stay - happy to recommend this hotel !

ask for a room with a view of the Empire State building . All rooms have pretty nice view though. i got allergies here that resulted in minor sniffles. bring benedryl just in case. bring inst coffee

The rooms are very clean , well organized and maintained. Staff are very friendly and informative as well as extremely helpful

The New Yorker has modest rooms, but a century of history, is centrally located, and a top notch staff . The photo hall on the lower level shows its history, and the Butcher & Banker for swanky drinks

When I told a friend where I was staying, she described it as "a Don Draper sex hotel from the 50's." Yes it's old. Yes the walls are paper thin. But its clean & well located so hey, it is what it is

lower floors are renovated, higher floors not yet. If you get a front room at the 30th floor you will get both a renovated room and a fantastic view of the skyline, similar to the Empire State 's.

Great location near Penn Station . This also means you're in easy reach of the Highline and Time Square as you head uptown

Location of the hotel is great: 5 min from Macy's department store , 15 min from Empire State Building and 15-20 min from the Times Square. On the upper floors are the located the student residences

When it opened in 1930, the New Yorker Hotel was the second largest hotel in the world, featuring 92 telephone operators and a radio , with four channels, in each room.

The suites are great, try to get one with balcony access (100% worth it), great location, historic (Nikola Tesla ), clean rooms , nice staff , know your check-in time.

Great location, right next to Times Square and the Broadway theaters . Food at the two restaurants at the lobby is good and good value for money .

Loved it! Like stepping back in time. The only thing I needed was a big band playing in the background.

Very nice,vrry art-deco, very conveniently located. The rooms are suited for couples. You should not share rooms if you are on a business trip, the beds are just too small.

The tower suites offer a great view for a reasonable surcharge. You even get a glimpse of miss liberty.

We are on the 38th floor...the views are fantastic. Service is great! The atmosphere is like stepping back in time.

Great location Access to everything even by foot.24 hr Post office ACE train downstairs,1239 trains a block away so is Macy's n LIRR Amtrack/Acela.Great folks too.

A great location. Ideal for somewhere to put your suitcase, while you wonder at the delights of NYC. But this hotel needs a major overhaul and updating.

The location is great. I would definitely go back to this hotel ! Breakfast was fine. The rooms were clean .

I have to respectfully disagree with the other tip. I think the staff here is wonderful. They have been totally accommodating and very friendly during my stay.

Stayed here on high school trip in '99 for my first taste of NYC. I remember being surprised by how close it was to Madison Square Garden . Nice views .
