Hwaseomun Gate is the western gate of Hwaseong Fortress. Over the stone rainbow door is a single-story tower gate. Hwaseomun's defensive gate forms a crecent shape, with one side remaining open.
수원화성의 서문. 편액은 초대 화성유수였던 채제공이 썼다고 한다.보물403호로 지정.
화서문 바로옆 민속주점이 운치있다. 규모는 작지만 화서문과 성곽을 보며 마시는 동동주가 맛있다.

I was here for fall festival March/parade. Beautiful grounds and nice easy hikes to hill above. They let you ring the bell at the top to be heard in all the valley. 1000W. Pretty fun n relaxing spot - Gregory K.
