This place is fantastic and very cheap . We read the recommendations and had the momo dumplings and chasha shamdey . We also loved the beef shapta . Definitely on the regular rotation now.

I had the beef dumplings and they were delicious. I grabbed a mango lassi to-go and it was delicious. Friendly service and good prices!

Gizem K

Lunch specials are very good and cheap . A lot of vegetarian options . The noodle soup is the cure for a cold day. Their ginger tea is amazing too.

This place is a hidden gem . Friendly service , cheap and delicious momos , noodles and chili tofu / chicken . Everything they make is so tasty!

Carolyn Burton

Everything on the menu is awesome. Chili Chicken , Tsel Shesha and Gyathuk Takpa and Sha Thukpa are some of my all time favorites.

Jorge Ayauhtli O

The sweet potato dumplings are great, the hot sause it's mild enough that you can use enough of it on them to flavor it. The bocha tea is interesting, kinda salty, prob. Good with a sweet dessert .

Alex Hunter

Great spot for vegetarians . Love the dumplings and crispy noodles . Limited seating both inside and out, holds up for delivery too. No longer BYOB !

Bin Yang

Share the momos and get the Luksha Shamdey. Cubes of tender lamb curry and soft potato chunks with a bowl of fluffy jasmine rice . FYI Amex is not accepted.

Cindy T

My favorite vegetarian dish is #16 Tsel Gyathuk Ngopa, which is sauteed noodles mixed with fresh green vegetables and tofu . Make sure you add the chili sauce that you get on the side.

Jason Aston

The dumplings ! Get the dumplings . Otherwise a lot of the stuff tastes the same. Solid choices: beef momos and pan fried noodles

Alex Robertson

Open since 2001 and really good. Feels legit. Momo were delicious

This place is the East Village 's best kept secret. Absolutely fantastic food and friendly service at absurdly low prices. $5.99 for lunch ? Am I dreaming?

Juicy and scrumptious - the momos are the best - try them steamed or pan fried

Mahammatt Baba

Try the chili butternut squash dish. The sweetness of the squash complements the spice. Nice flavors.

Cat

one of the only places that doesn't bread their tofu ! yes! also, order chili anything - the seasonings are incredible.

Has to be one of the best deals in town . Get any of the soups for a hearty and heart-warming appetizer . Everything I've had is delicious!

Alongside firm strips of tofu in the Chili Doufu ($7.99), you’ll find red and green pepper , onion , tomato and other spices that make the dish a panoply of textures. Read more

Eat the Shapta (Tibetan spicy beef and veggies ). Oh, and for the record this cuisine is Himalayan (Tibetan and Nepalese ), not Indian.
