Belle Isle Park

Large Beautiful public park nestled right outside downtown Detroit. So much to do there. I recommend a visit if you are in the area.

At almost 1000 acres, you are sure to find something fun to do on Belle Isle. Be sure to visit the beautiful Conservatory , the Dossin Great Lakes Museum , or just enjoy the fantastic views of the river

The island was landscaped in the 1880s & served as a staging ground by the U.S. military during World War II for a re-enactment of a Pacific island invasion by the Navy and Marine Corps.

It's a great place to go and have a picnic with your significant other or your family, the beach is also awesome

The park is in great condition these days, with lots of walking trails , bike lanes, picnic areas , playgrounds and a beach . Spend a whole day here!

Avoid walking on the grass. It is 100 percent covered in Goose poop . Some buildings are condemned. The view of the bridge to Canada is nice. The locals sit in their parked cars and smoke.

The weather was perfect! Went bike to ding then cooled off under a willow tree with a refreshing lemon sorbet !

After you have picked up your picnic basket from Rose 's Fine Foods, head over to Belle Isle for a beautiful picnic . Just make sure to watch out for goose poop !

Nice, scenic area for a summer weekend

A beach , waterslide, Kid’s Kingdom Playscape and paddleboats. Also a great place for a picnic or a day of fishing .

The State Police presence can be oppressive at times but the island looks great and I love seeing the fountain functioning again.

Great park , just don't be there when it gets dark because there is some shady activity going on there at night.

Although it boasts nearly 100 acres, not many know it is the largest city park in America. Complete with golf course , beach , Giant Slide , maritime museum , botanical garden and more.

Lots to see and do at this park . Plenty of space too. Have a grill out and enjoy the beach .

Go on a Saturday take in the dossin muesem, the conservatory and the zoo took my nieces last saturday had a blast.
