Left Bank Melbourne

This place is now owned and run by the guys behind World Bar . I'd say they're easily the best crew operating any bar along the river . So much has improved, worth checking in and checking out!

Calamari and papaya salad was the best salad I've had. Really generous serving and the jug of pims was spot on. Great service too

John Hastings likes Left Bank for summer with its scenic view of the city . Left Bank also has an extensive wine and beer list and is good for a light feed. All around it's a great Melbourne venue

Great atmosphere in the evenings, and some great starters on the menu if you're looking to share. Try the crab dumplings !

Maitre d' disappeared before seating me. 10 minutes later.... Finally found him, then he brought me still water when I asked for sparkling. Very cute French waiter and yum creme brûlée saved the day.

The matador pizza is yum!!! They put their milkshakes in small pitchers , it's really cute , try it!!!

Sunday brunch is devine on the terrace . Veuve Clicquot sadly not avail today but good list of frenchies to choose from and lovely food. Lots of old people today. Not sure why.

Pros: Great selection of drinks by the river & the joint is nice. Cons: Expensive.

breakfast : poor service and poor food - I had Quesadilla ‎ with Chorizo . The quesadilla ‎ itself was tasty enough but difficult to eat, chorizo was cremated and crunchy, poached egg was cold.

Staff are lovely. Wasn't a fan of my undercooked pasta . Would still go back - for the staff !

Try the Pecorino Pizza bread . Tastes like cheetos!!!

I like it here in the evenings but lunch is pretty meh. Staff isn't friendly and burgers are expensive and nothing special.

We waited over an hour for our food that never turned up. $7 coronas drew us in but ended up walking out after everyone around us got their meals but not us. Not good service for a nice restaurant

Make sure you have plenty of time - its as slow as a wet week

terrible service. waitress took our order, only to return 30mins later asking us if we wanted food. after reminding her that SHE took our order, the food was another 30min. no cutlery napkins or water

Coffees are alright. You have to order at the bar and bring it to your table. No table service. Pretty lousy.

Crappy service, got a table and the waiter forgot the coffee order and had to ask again..5mins later. There are much better places for coffee on southbank!

Word of warning: the express lunch is not express

Service blows! Bathrooms are dirty ! The mini burger app was ok the pizza was dry and full of garlic salt and took forever. Not worth it at all!
