Saturday night. I had shanks. Excellent. Wife had fish . Very nice. Kids had 'kids meals '. Everything was great. Good portions. We sat upstairs. Light was to low. Hard to see the menu and food.

These guys specialize in the BBQ Beef ribs . Do not be tempted to go for lamb or pork . That's like going to place and not ordering their award dish. Succulent. Melt off the bone RIBS

Portion for 2 is HuGE!that cost Aus53 (lamb and pork ribs ).signature pork rib is a must try.try half portion, so u can order other food to try too..

The kangaroo dish was absolutely divine!!! First time trying kangaroo , thought it might not taste good, at the end it was perfect!! It was worth the wait. :)

The Monte Black steak , rare with mushroom sauce is amazing. Also worth getting the kale salad . Lemon meringue dessert cone was also delicious

One of the best steaks we've ever eaten! And simply divine kangaroo meat, tender and full of flavour, plus great presentation. So don't be misled by the restaurant interior, the food is awesome.

They have a kangaroo skewer and are especially known for their beef ribs . Nice and classy interior .

Ask for Halal, and we were pleasantly surprised that all their meat (except pork , duh!) were infact halal! Inform your waiter and you will be advised about side dishes that are halal and not.

Welldone definition is not same with Europe. Welldone is really welldone. It even comes little bit crispy . So i wouldn't order it welldone. Read the instructions well in the menu :-)

The best steak i had in my entire life. They can recommend the best way to cook your selected steak too.

They have the best green peppercorn sauce , don't forget to order it..and better to book first so you're not need to wait

The Monte select new yorker is my own steak of choice. However I'm pretty it's impossible to go wrong. Just don't ask for anything beyond a medium. Ask on the best way to cook your steak of choice.

The waiter "Enrique" is possibly the best service person we have ever come across. Went upto the restaurant manager on our way out complement them. He asked if its about Enrique? Very impressed!

My favourite steak place. Invest in a better cut but no need for the most expensive !

Got the Monte Select Rib-Eye and it was the bomb! Ordered it with peppercorn sauce (didn't really need it because it was so flavoursome) & potato gratin . Salt & Pepper Squid entree was cooked perfectl

The glaetzer bishop is great value . Try the blue cheese and vodka sauce . Downstairs can get quite hot in the summer

My favourite is the 250g Monte Gold Fillet. Medium rare <3

Amazing food & ambience!

The $20 lunch menu has been revamped to include 2 fillet pieces instead of the rump. It is fucking delicious.

The pork ribs are fantastic! The Chef 's salad less so.

I think if you stick to a salad you'll be safe... These guys can't get anything right! Can't complain about the free bottle of Henschke Shiraz though!
