The nicest expanse of grass in all of NYC that seems to just go on for miles and miles. Come early on the weekend before 9am, and see the ridiculous amount of dogs and their owners playing!

Plenty of green space for you to have a picnic on a nice summer day. Bring your dog and let it run free without a leash before 9am.
Wonderful dog runs up to 9 am each day. On weekends it's doggie wonderland. Very fun for them to run around and play together. Kids also love watching the dog parade each morning
This is the perfect spot on a Saturday or Sunday day out, it has a lot of green space and cool
Unlike Central Park , at Prospect Park you're still allowed to play catch and throw a ball around. Make the most of it! :)
I came here to watch the full moon and sleep under the stars. Police try to kick you out but just hide until they get tired.
Dog tips: Off leash is only in the meadows, not the whole park . Don't take your dog off leash at an entrance, it's too tempting for them to go the wrong way. Always have collars and tags on your dog.
The best picnic/outdoor afternoon nap/people watching spot in all of Brooklyn… and maybe the whole city too, if I'm being honest.
Check out the Fallen Oak on Elephant Hill , the oldest tree out of the 30,000 in the entire park (300 years), before heading over to the Band Shell for a free summer Concert performance . Also, stroll
My dog likes this place better than I do.
Good for picnics , laying down, and frisbee . Flying a kite is also pretty neat with all the hills
Off leash hours 5am-9am and 9pm- 1am. This is an amazing experience. There's nothing quite like it anywhere. Doggie heaven!

I love Long Meadow. It's very peaceful . I let my 14 month old daughter run around. She loves it.
