The nicest expanse of grass in all of NYC that seems to just go on for miles and miles. Come early on the weekend before 9am, and see the ridiculous amount of dogs and their owners playing!

Taylor Williams

Great lawn to hang out and awesome off leash play for puppies from 9pm to 9am everyday

Plenty of green space for you to have a picnic on a nice summer day. Bring your dog and let it run free without a leash before 9am.

Sarah F. Parsons

Wonderful dog runs up to 9 am each day. On weekends it's doggie wonderland. Very fun for them to run around and play together. Kids also love watching the dog parade each morning

Scholarship Jamaica

This is the perfect spot on a Saturday or Sunday day out, it has a lot of green space and cool

Unlike Central Park , at Prospect Park you're still allowed to play catch and throw a ball around. Make the most of it! :)

I came here to watch the full moon and sleep under the stars. Police try to kick you out but just hide until they get tired.

Michael Calleia

Dog tips: Off leash is only in the meadows, not the whole park . Don't take your dog off leash at an entrance, it's too tempting for them to go the wrong way. Always have collars and tags on your dog.

The best picnic/outdoor afternoon nap/people watching spot in all of Brooklyn… and maybe the whole city too, if I'm being honest.
