Love this beach for walking. Sadly, after 9/11 the Navy closed off the beach adjacent to the Amphibious Base (Seal Training ). We enjoyed our walk and scored a bunch of large, unbroken clamshells.

Expansive views , great for swimming , water sport , running or strolling, biking or simply lounging .

A gorgeous wide beach with an incomparable backdrop of the famed Hotel del Coronado. Personally, I prefer it more for picture-taking than sunbathing , but that just might be me.

With The Del in it's backdrop, Coronado Beach is a great spot for swimming and paddle boarding. There is also a boardwalk great for renting beach cruises and biking around town .

Great beach !! Everything about this the beach is great location, sand, not too crowded ,waves etc. only complaint is that the beach is near the flight path.

My favorite beach in San Diego . Everybody should walk on the white sand beach . Unfortunately, the waves are really big. Anyway, it's a must-see place for everybody.

The sand is like gold. The way the sun hits it is magical. You have to see it in person. But the beach is packed. Visit but don't stay. Look for CORONADO spelled out in foliage near the hotel .

Tons of space on this wide, beautiful beach - very accommodating for crowds. Nice, modest waves for boogie boarding and swimming with kids.

Perfect beach for kids. Waves but not too rough. Outdoor restaurant overlooking the beach is convenient for lunch for kids and adults.

Right on the beach . Facility and staff beach friendly . Shops and eats on-site or very close.

It's a long walk to the ocean but well worth it. Quiet and clean with enough room that you're not on top of other folks.

My wife and I went on a windy overcast day and there were dolphins swimming 70 yds from the beach we were walking on.

What I love about coronado is that people come here to vacation, it's a great feeling to get there early in the day, walk on a beach and know you are not a visitor but a local :)

Sand Dollars are a plenty here. Do a little digging to find some.

Beautiful, clean sand and amazing views of San Diego.

Where the beach meets the hotel grounds there is little water station for rinsing sand off feet.

Nice beach . Very crowded . The water isn't as pretty as Pacific Beach but it's a nice view .

Comparable to Cape Cod Coronado boasts beautiful beaches but beware this is no casual island !
