Quite possibly the biggest Waitrose in London, this shop is perfect to pop to get anything you might need. Great selection of fruit , meat, cleaning products and chocolate . Fresh produce here too!
Newly refurbished with a sushi and takeout lunch counter. Same helpful staff .
Simply an excellent supermarket , probably the best in the UK, if not the cheapest..
Free coffee if you're a member! Best shop ever.
Recent refit offers the opportunity for a good rootle to find the stuff you actually want.
If all you want is to pick up a quick sandwich , snack or bottle of water then this Waitrose is tucked back just off Whitecross Street.
Great variety and quality items
I wouldn't expect to find a supermarket this big in central-ish London
Good grocery store . S.all but fresh seafood counter.
Really helpful and friendly staff !
Premium and spacious
You can get coffee from the bakery at the back
Friendly , helpful staff , but fresh produce is poor quality. Fruit overchilled (turns to mush), and terribly disappointing in range and generally of a very low standard - and stupidly expensive .
Try the oatmeal cookie , excellent value n tastes good 45p each
The closest "supermarket " to The Barbican.
Raspberry namoura try it n you'll comeback again for this sweet.
They change their opening hours relatively often so check ahead if you want to be sure.
Try the self-service salad bar for a quick lunch .

No copies of The Guardian left when I came in. Bloody middle class lefties...
Yet again have to go to customer services to get refund. Checkouts mysteriously don't acknowledge 3 for 2 deals. Ie. management are ripping off customers.
Cash registers furthest from the door frequently have no line at all.
Bigger than it looks but impossible to find anything
Sells wooden skewers but not metal ones
New & huge bakery section. Plus they have the new emporium bakery section there and by the fresh sandwishes 👍 Love it! - Jenny
A large and lovely food hall with a vast amount of selection. There are several fresh meat counters, a section just for cheese, one for wine! Friendly staff and a pleasant experience. - Chris Haines
Get the carnitas burrito with guacamole & chorizo - Fredric Arvinius
Waterside cafe is an inexpensive and good value place to eat with a choice of hot and cold dishes and desserts. You can get a main meal, dessert and drink for well under 15 pounds. - Helen Forrest
Lovely neighbourhood park shared with local white-collar workers eating from Whitecross Street Market. Good playground for kids up to 10. Next to local school and busy first thing and mid-afternoon. - Nico Macdonald
