I always make a point to come here when I'm in SA. The food is always great. I will say the huge margarita was more gimmicky than anything; pretty light on taste for 25 dollars.

Jane

Clearly if it's busy (like it always is on the Riverwalk it can get cray cray, be nice to the waitstaff ) food is good. Crispy tacos are really big and first round of chips is free .75 after for each 1

Great food, atmosphere,& staff !Go when it's nice out and enjoy the experience. Beware of the pigeons and ducks that want your food.I highly recommend this place...especially if you're from out of town !

DJ Ku Rx

Enjoyed the Tacco Salad with chicken and shrimp . The view is great and you can see boats come by as part of the scene. The offer photos and live personal music at your table. Great experience ????????

Laura Ramos

Green enchiladas were full of flavor. Not spicy at all. They are huge, two is more than enough. Sit by the river to enjoy the view .

Linda Gilliland

Loved our waitress , Virginia! I had Chicken Flauta Dinner . It was great! Atmosphere good, scenery on the River Walk was good, ducks greeted us for dinner . Loved it!

Yvonne Henderson Williams

Absolutely the best traditional Mexican food I've had in a long time. Wish I was a local. Outstanding and inexpensive .

David Womack

The Casa Rio is a superb Mexican restaurant ! It is always a treat. try the regular plate, which has samplings of lots of different good things.

Amee Vora

Amazing Mexican food and extremely pleasant ambience by the river walk . Will miss the tex-mex salsa and guacamole back home, it's so different from the Mexican food back there.

Miriam Goldman

A very special old Tex-Mex restaurant . The combination plates are amazingly good!

Sergio Ramirez

In the River walk, great view and very good service , delicious margaritas and very good quesadillas

Kenzie Stewart

The street tacos and rice were amazing! The mariachi bands make a really cool atmosphere as well !

Abbe Barbato

Staff was welcoming, service was quick, food was good, sitting along the River Walk was nice.

Jeana @ SurfandSunshine.com

Fajita plate is not grilled strips of meat - but grilled meat cut into strips. chicken is horrible, but the steak is tasty. The salsa is pretty good - actually spicy . Overall not real Mexican food .

Dawn Dambrowski- Smith

History and huge plates that taste above average ! I have been here numerous times and we usually take visitors to San Antonio here.

Angela Alexander

As a margarita fan, I enjoyed mine a lot and the chili on a cold night outside hit the spot. Good price too.

Carnitas were great once again. Guacamole and pico de gallo rounded out a great meal!

Tom Smith

Great salsa and authentic TexMex for the Riverwalk. Go down to Mi Tierra or La Margarita for the real thing.

elyachan

I'd come back just for the amazingly good fresh salsa , but everything else is delicious too! Definitely on the do-again list! <3

Eating inside the restaurant can get a little noisy . If the weather is good eating outside is much better.

Ashlie Kosinski

go for the peach margarita and even if the wait is long ask for an outside table .

Wes Scales

When you get a marg get an extra shot to go in it, makes it the best

Joe Wright

Charo beans and chili relleno were surprisingly good. Reasonably priced as well .

Oldest family run restaurant on the river ! Buy local !! The chains are taking over
