Although the market is vastly reduced in scope due to the construction , the vendors are true farmers and craftsmen. Definitely still worth a trip
This is my new favorite weekend tradition. Arrive early if your trying to eat breakfast items . They sell out quickly.
Beware, supporting "local" doesn't always means things are organic ! Most produce at the DFM are conventionally grown with pesticides. Only 3-4 small stands are actually organic . Be sure to ask!!
The Market was officially sanctioned in 1941, and today it is open to the public seven days a week with Texas farmers offering fresh berries , peaches , corn , lettuce, meats, flora and more.
On Saturdays the Farmers Market holds free cooking demos. Learn how to make something new and pick up supplies from local farmers afterwards....eggs , veggies , meat, grains, you can find it all there.
Nice indoor market with shops and food vendors . Great way to spend couple hours enjoying some good eats while doing some souvenir shopping
If you are looking for a farmers market with lots of fresh produce and meat vendors , skip the Dallas Farmers Market. I am from a city that has a real Farmers Market so I was gravely disappointed.
Get Roomies Ice Cream ! New ice cream stand with handmade waffle cones
One of my favorite places to visit in Texas! There's always music and it's always so lively . I love it so much!
Not a place I would get a good deal on local produce but the vendors have some nice products of high quality. The actual complex has a wide array of cuisines to choose from.
Photographers ! Check out our blog to learn more about our State of the Environment Photo Project and this featured photo taken at this farmers market by Stephanie Marchant. Read more
Not too thrilled with the vendors or set-up. It is more like a bad craft fair than a farmer's market and the produce I purchased was worse quality than I could get for cheaper at Sprouts.
Make sure to visit shed 2 ! Lots of great vendors ! Pasta , pickles olive oil , cheese just to name a few!!
Eat your way through. The fruit samples are ridiculously good, fresh, and somewhat organic .
Check out the indoors section for great food options and some good Dallas souvenirs!

Thankfully they restrict produce vendors to those that actually grow the stuff.
