Beautiful dining space in the Dallas Ritz lobby. Food is very good...my "chicken fried" lobster was like an amazing lobster chicken tender and steak had a perfectly charred outer layer

Matt Leese

Best steak I've ever had. Chicken fried lobster was a little weird but fried oysters were amazing. the first place that knows how to pour an after dinner drink correctly, lots of ice and full glass.

Lovely restaurant . Buffalo tenderloin is the best, but start with the tortilla soup . Extensive wine list . Relax, enjoy the food and good wine . Doesn't get much better than this in the big D.

The Buffalo tenderloin is out of this world! Would have to go all the way to South Dakota to find a buffalo to compete with this!

Amazing eating experience. Ask Paul (sommelier ) for wine recommendations and for additions not on the list-- he has incredible taste!

If there's one thing that’s bigger in Texas, it’s the flavor Chef Dean Fearing brings to the table. He's a graduate of the world's premier culinary college!

Dean Fearing's eponymous bastion of fancified Southern cuisine is (very politely, very gently) slap-yo-mama good. [Eater 38 Member]

Shell-shocked by the sight of Chef Dean Fearing himself? Simply compliment his cowboy boots, request his recommendation for the evening and tip your hat to the father of modern Southwestern cuisine. Read more

Decent cuisine but I specifically requested not to be seated in the kitchen...needless to say I had front row seats to the kitchen, I know they read the request b/c they wished us a happy anniversary

Best food and most friendly staff ! I highly suggest the buffalo... or the halibut ... or the antelope- let's be honest, you can't go wrong! And DEF don't skip dessert !

Go here on a Sunday. It won't be much in terms of atmosphere, but you'll get the advantage of Bored/Lonely Chef Syndrome...and the amuse-bouches won't stop coming.

The Feast

Dean Fearing's ritzy restaurant has won more accolades than we can count. He's known for his bold, Southwestern flavors, so the chicken tortilla soup is a must-order. Read more
