Great coffee spot . Get here early and hang out with the regulars (both two and four legged). In the afternoon, enjoy a smooth pour over coffee . Family owned by wonderful folks.

Almost no seating you can get or would want because the space is so small but they make delicious cold brew so just grab and go instead.

Hands down the best coffee . The SBUX may be more convenient and take charge cards but Joe is worth the walk an worth the cash. I wish they were everywhere!

Small tables not very good for working . But excellent for dates or business meetings . Hot cider during the winter is really good too

Place has perfected the pour-over technique so every flavor comes through and the coffee is never diluted. Their seasonal hibiscus ice tea is also a must try.

Chilled expresso is the best coffee drink I had in nyc. With the sugar water and cream. It is sooo smooth!!!

There are several Joe's locations and they're all great, so it should come as no surprise that this is the best coffee shop in the Upper West Side.

Don't get a dirty chai ! The espresso roast and the spice of their chai do not complement each other well . Try the chocolate truffle cookie , though!

You need a bigger Americano ? They don't usually sell them, but if you ask for one in a jumbo cup with an extra shot they know how to make it work ;)

The hipster coffee spot in the UWS. Check in the bathroom , behind the toilet , there are secret compartments in the wall where patrons hide trinkets.

Iced soy latte is an excellent go-to. If you're in the mood for a treat, go for an iced dirty chai or salted apple bread !

Jonathan Rubinstein's espresso shop in the West Village has been a hit ever since it opened in 2002. Rubinstein recently switched to beans from Ecco Caffe, a boutique Sonoma roaster.

Good coffee at Joe is a given, but the Manhattan mini-chain specializes in friendly , helpful service .

Seasonal house - mix of Brazilian and Peru - and the unbeatable muffins are highly recommended. Also sometimes, when the weather is clear, you can pick up free wifi if u sit in the couch section.

Best coffee from flavor to presentation!!! Also they use pacific soy barista blenders which if you're dairy free like makes ALL the difference

They now have sandwiches , fruit and granola to add to their great coffee

Everything here is delicious, but I'm partial to the chai latte - creamy, flavourful, and not too spicy . Beats Starbuck's any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

If you're getting an Italian soda , raspberry is an excellent choice of flavor.

My local favourite and somehow they manage to make 2% cappuccino taste like full fat ones! Genius;-)

An good to average coffee shop on the UWS that usually has open seats for laptop users – but no plugs. Cookies are great but they tend to run out.
