The Sixth Floor Museum

If you want to listen to the entire audio tour and watch the videos, plan to be there for at least 2.5 hours. It was an amazing museum . It held my attention the entire time.

There are two floors that can be visited: the 6th (audio-guided tour ) & the 7th (some exhibitions ). From the 7th floor, you'll be able to take a photo of the spot where JFK was shot (see the pic).

Great exhibits on the 6th and 7th floor; learn more about JFK and his relationship with the city of Dallas. There is a very comfortable rocking chair in the gift shop .

This JFK assassination museum is really well done. The audio guide is very well integrated with displays. And you get to look out across Dealey Plaza from a 6th floor window. Go early to beat queues.

I am sure that many if you are quite familiar with the whole story. If you are in Dallas make sure you visit the place where JFK was killed and the museum . You will get a new, different feeling...

Get to know the history of JFK and the days leading up to the world shaking events in 1963. The audio tour is one of the best I have heard. Get tickets ahead of time to set your visit date & time.

Buy your tickets online the day before and print out the tickets before you arrive. This will save you a ton of waiting time.

A fitting and deeply moving tribute to the legacy of President Kennedy. The museum covers the life of JFK and his untimely passing in rich detail. Definitely a place to visit in Dallas.

What a great museum . Very well done. If your in Dallas Tx and into history it’s a must. It has a parking lot , parking is $10 for I think 12 hours. It’s a self guided auto tour . ????

Go up one floor to the 7th floor or take a couple of steps to right from the alleged sniper's nest. Set the conspiracy theorist within free and figure out your theory.

Be prepared to spend about 3 hours going through the exhibits . So you should try to arrive by 3 pm at the latest. And don't forget to check out the seventh floor exhibits before you leave.

A must see when you are in Dallas, haunting. If you get the chance, talk to the man outside by the grassy knoll. He was a witness at age 13 when Kennedy was shot.

About a two hour visit. Buy tickets in advance so you don't have to wait in line . Really well done with lots of detail bit in a digestible format.

Incredible exhibit ! I enjoyed reading the displays much more than doing the audio tour . Buy tickets at a reserved time across the street in the museum store.

They've done an excellent job bringing history to life here. Make sure you check out all the conspiracy theories too!

One of the first things you notice is how close this is to the highway. Whoever was involved could've jumped on the highway for an easy getaway.

Such an overwhelming place but in a good way. It's a must do! Graphic, emotional and just inspirational of who JFK was.

Unfortunately there are no photos allowed on the 6th floor, but it is a fascinating journey into the Kennedy era and the tragedy that shot forth here.

Parking is scarce & pricey ; it's easy to ride DART light rail to West End station.

One of those unforgettable moments. Museum is suprisingly crowded which slows reading documents with some videos. City Pass is a 'saver'. Ps. Pay $2.50/day and take the rail city transit.

If your ticket is 12:30pm, get into the queue around 12:20pm even if that's the 12:00pm queue. Otherwise, the queue will be longer at 12:30pm.

A fascinating insight into a day that stopped a nation and indeed the rest of the world....put this at the top of your list to visit when in Dallas!

Very emotional. Still moves people to tears, even those of us who weren't born yet. What a great museum . Definitely a must when in Dallas.

These people really love to enforce a "no photography whatsoever on the 6th floor" policy.Which of course is bullshit so ignored it completely and snapped all the photos I wanted. I advise u 2 do also

Convinced of conspiracy now more than ever. Snipers practice simultaneous shooting at moving targets , and the Courthouse and DalTex buildings would have been perfect. Where's Jackie's pea coat? ;)

Fun and educational-- lots to learn about Kennedy and his assassination. The audio guide was a bit cumbersome.

I loved the trip to Dallas but it wouldn't have been complete without this stop. So much information you can make your own conspiracy theory .

Get your picture taken on the "X" on the street. Gift Shop has this great "group photo" of all 44 Presidents. Buy it.

Well worth a visit to get a real impression of what happened. Make sure you see the window the shots were fired from.

Don't rush. Be prepared to wait to see and then to stand your ground and read the exhibits . Very informative.

Interesting museum based on the life of JFK. Not for people just looking for assassination info

A must see for those who love learning about the stories behind our presidents. Or anyone in Texas, really. Impactful.

Call ahead to find out if there is a wait. Last tour runs at 515p. There is also a driving tour so be sure to inquire!

Interesting and eerie museum - the plaza is so much smaller than you’d think it would be.

Go to the old red museum visitors center and pick up a coupon book . They have a $2 off admission to the Sixth Floor museum

Did Governor Connally's body block line of sight on Houston Street before the turn onto Elm? Would Oswald have had to stand or lean out to shoot down? or was he just not ready? Elm St is easier.
