Such a surprise! Remarkable vegan cod fish alternative made with banana blossom and mock prawns created with Japanese potato starch . Excellent texture and flavours! Will come back!
So I had the banana flower (cod ) and it was really good, the texture is so similar to fish , the taste isn’t too fishy. Also tried the vampi (scampi ) and the texture was amazing again
Of course Hackney would give birth to London's first entirely vegan fish and chip joint. I was impressed with the banana blossom as a fish substitute, though the chips were a bit dry.
Good cod , average chips
