Must start by visiting the cyclorama , film and museum at the visitor center. Then audio or guided tour is the battlefields. An amazing slice of dramatic history !
#9 on top 25 landmarks in the world. Massive. Intense - narration brought battlefield into life. So much history!
The certified guide service was fantastic. Having the guide drive us around and describe the battle chronologically was ideal. Much better than a bus or a self-guided audio tour .
Buy the self tour CD in the gift shop . You can listen to it in your car while you tour the battlefields at your own pace!
Search for "Civil War music " on your Spotify, Rdio etc. and add some tunes to the tour .
Do the driving tour first. Then visit the museum when all the buses and tour groups are gone - usually after 1pm.
I stayed a few hours and must come back for a much longer visit. Awesome history to explore.

A must for visiting Gettysburg. .. the Victorian Carriage Company was a great way to tour the massive park .

2d MS, 42d MS, & 55th NC hide in the cut to escape Federal fire. Unfortunately the 84th NY, 95th NY and 6th WI reach the steep banks and shoot down. 42d MS & 55th NC escape but most 2d MS captured. - CJ Wallington
