Little Round Top

The 20th Maine VIR (Col Chamberlain ) fought the most famous engagement here, culminating in a downhill bayonet charge that is one of the most well-known actions at Gettysburg and in the Civil War.

My favorite stop on the tour...took a long time at this one. The view , the woods. The hill . The fields . I can't even imagine. Vast. Awe inspiring.

Amazing. The driving tour is amazing and the sites are truly historic. One of the best national parks in existence. Must see.

Getting a picture of yourself and the battlefield behind is impossible in the afternoon light. Next time for me, I'm going to try to get there in the AM.

If you're in PA, I highly recommend a visit to Gettysburg ! Take a bus tour . The view from Little Round Top is extraordinary!

20th Maine signboard is on the right side of the road , just before the parking lot at LRT. Searched and searched but never did find their monument .
