Canada Customs

The Canadian customs officers really like it if you walk up to them talking on your phone.

HINT: Don't put your Customs form (or your passport ) in your mouth! They get really cranky about that and you don't want your day to get longer!

WAIT for the Border Officer to call you up. Its not McDonalds, they sometimes have to make notes, call people, etc. The person in front of you coulda been up to something. Give 'em a minute.

The Nexus machines in Toronto are now "GOES" machines. Worked well , used fingerprints instead of iris scan . You now have to check with Customs in booth before exit.

While waiting in line for the automated customs machines, pay attention to which ones are having issues. Passport picture face down and completed customs form face up for scanning .

SO EASY for U.S residents! I've never been through customs faster.

Nexus or Global Entry is worth every cent. Get it and walk right around that line .

Worst place to clear customs with Nexus in Canada. You by-pass one massive line only to be funnelled into two others. Hit the bathroom first if you have to go, even though there are only two stalls.

Dont try and bring food items over the border, you'll be detained and interrogated~

Definitely spend the time and money to get a Nexus pass. Well worth it.

Keep that Canada Customs form you fill out on the plane handy, they ask you for it at least 3 times!

The automated process for in transit to the us does not work if u flew in with LOT. Does not matter if the system does not tell u. Don't waste time and go pick it bag

DON'T LIE. It's amazing how easy the process is if you are honest.

Customs SUCKS. Get put in random giant lines and watch as an employee lets a bunch of ppl ahead of you cuz they have a connecting flight or Can passport (even tho everyone in your line has both, too)
