There are usually alot of people crowding the elephant, go to the second floor balcony to get a great view .
They may have redone the natural history museum but this iconic landmark as you enter is still here.

During the summer go in the evening after 5. The museum is open until 7:30, and you can usually find free parking on Madison right in front of the museums! - Brandy Parker
This place is awesome for people of all ages! From our 18 month old, our 4 year old, and my wife and I we all had a blast. Don't forget to visit the Wegman's kids area on the 1st floor.... a must! - Michael Galus
