Ended up being one of the best things to happen to the neighborhood . Busy (but not packed), friendly staff and delicious BBQ eats. Burnt ends and pulled pork is solid.
Happy hour is great, love sitting outside. I douse everything in the NC vinegar sauce , less mature tastes might prefer the mustard-based sauces. 😛
Everything. I love the white chicken chili and cornbread . The salads are great with lots of smoked meat and healthy greens. I have never had a bad meal here

Thier brisket is amazing! Best in Virginia. Be sure to try their collard greens , Mac &Cheese , and Donna’s Cornbread ! Cozy atmosphere ! Always busy!

The pulled pork was excellent! I they were out of the burnt ends which was a real bummer. Hard to find them on the east coast
I'm a vegetarian , but good Lord this was still excellent. Loved my sides, and the parents enjoyed their brisket and ribs .

Good sandwiches , great company. This restaurant supports local federal workers with a free sandwich during the shutdown.

Loved the food. The Mac and cheese was really good. There were a few drunken locals that were annoying.
I have yet to order something I did not enjoy at Sweet Fire Donna‘s. Sadly I have not been back since COVID hit, on the upside I rarely go into the office either.
If you don't like young country music , and like it loud . I suggest you get your food to go. Other than that the BBQ was pretty good.
