The pretzels are imported directly from Germany. Classic look, classic beers , just respect for the tradition is what made this place one of the best we have ventured to in the last couple of years. Read more
An indoor Biergarten . It gets a bit loud but that's not a problem. The schnitzel is really good with authentic sides. Get the "mas" and you'll be good to go.
Monday nights are the best!!!! After work jazz and chorus girl or burlesque performances . Live bands are always spectacular and you'll see some good dancing too.
Not an easy find if you follow Foursquare mapping instructions. Go for the HB beers on draft...the sunlit terrace is beautiful in the evenings
If you're not sure what to order, get a flight with their 4 main beers and 1 seasonal on tap
I came here yesterday with a big group of friends and Julia was such a sweetheart! We tried the flight and the Hefe Weizen was my favorite. Get the pretzels too while you're at it! Fun time!
Great great German bar for wursts and Hofbrau beer . Not good if you want something other than beer . Excellent place to watch the Germans become fußball weltmeisters! ;)
Love this place. Isn't packed at all and food is great. Price is awesome and they have brunch Mimosas and all omg this is tots my Sunday spot
German beer house with traditional beers on tap and classic foods available... pretzel is fresh and hot with tasty dipping sauces + wings smelled amazingly
On Monday's they have live jazz , swing dancing , and a burlesque show all wrapped into one fine evening!
Good beer great sausage . And if you are lucky enough, you will get a seat on the balcony and it feels so great
I love this indoor beer garden ! My fave beer is the dunkelweiss (dark wheat) and get the sausage that's a mix of pork & beef . If you have 3+ friends with you, make sure to order a shotski!! Trust.
One of my favorite beer gardens ! Get the Dunkel Weizen & prepare to share a table with strangers/make new friends. They have live music and it gets pretty rowdy in the summer. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
Fun! Live band . Good vibes ???????? ????
Want everything on the menu. Delicious food, excellent ambiance, generous portions .
One of the many "not-quite-authentic" beer halls popping up in Manhattan. But, it is one of the better ones.
Just opened amazing and authentic German bierhaus. Try the Bierhaus Pretzel (Large) with hot mustard , the Weisswurst and a Hofbrau.
A typical beer garden in food and drink. The shot ski (four shots on a ski ) and hofbraü make it a fun atmosphere with good beer .
Good beer , sausages are normal with beer )), I expected more tasty food.
Look out for a variety of beers (lager , hefe weizen, dunkel, dunkel weizen , bock, Knut bock) running on 24 taps, live music , and enough wurst derivatives to tide you over until Oktoberfest. Read more
Through 10/3, you can reserve a table here for their daily noon or 6pm seating for $70pp, which entitles you to two beer tickets, one food ticket, live entertainment, and a boisterous atmosphere!
Ask the knowledgable bar staff about the variety! Almost like being in the Munich establishment (which I have been too) but much friendlier here in NYC!
Spacious German beer hall with German sausages , beer , and fried sauerkraut balls. Good for groups .
Friendly service , good beer , laid back vibes. Good selection of sausages .
As close to Germany as you can get in NYC. Get the Dunkel or something you can't find normally at your local joint
this place is managed by the most cool guy on the planet. Servers are amazing too. Hofbräu beer , the best.
Oops...ate before taking the picture but damn good! Good vibe and bright thanks to the sunroof
Come for the music and German style bierhaus. Stay for the music and remember due diligence to keep the impending hangover at bay .
Great for happy hour . So much fun, love music Tuesday - Saturday. Get a boot.
The beer is why you came, but you gotta try the wursts .
The outdoor seating is nice. They have boots here!
Like it or not - still a great place for German expats & beer lovers to enjoy a proper beer !
If you're checking the tips to see if you should go here, you'd have more fun absorbing the debt of flying to Munich to the actual Hofbräuhaus. This place is a sweaty, fart-ridden jock hellhole.
Obviously get the boot. The 1L is probably the better choice as it is glass vs the 2L plastic
Get the pretzel to share! (Can feed a group of 4) so good with beer . Two kinds of goood mustard come with it.
Trying to be good even on "cheat" night! The chicken sausage and cucumber salad are delicious!
Bring a group of friends, get the sampler platter and a liter of amazing German brews each. Enjoy the skylit room and air conditioning !
2013: In addition to a slew of live music throughout the fest, on Oct 26th they'll be hosting their second annual nationally sanctioned bratwurst eating championship.
???? served on tap & great pretzels . What more do you need?
Not the best beer garden in New York, but it's a convenient location and gets the job done
The band is funny once or maybe five times, and thereafter I want to get the hell out of there. Beer is great though. Serve beer , not music .
If you want a corporate biehaus, go here! Plus side: delicious pretzel ! If you want to pay $9- for it. Note they add $1 for mustard ! Beer selection = all Hofbrau.
Awesome beer hall near Grand Central. The balcony is great.
Head to the second floor of this indoor beer garden for bratwursts and liters of beer .
Best Octoberfest in the City !
Wursts weren't good at all, but great beer and excellent steamed mussels appetizer , surprisingly for a German resto
Good food. Solid beer . Gets really packed though and they don't take reservations or hold seats so get there early and together. Read more

Awesome beer cheese .

Very tasty schnitzel. Warm, freshly baked soft pretzel will be the best you ever have. Atmosphere a little dank but fun/friendly. - Nina LoSchiavo
The potato pancakes are to die for..you can't forget to start with those. Weißwurst is great..spatzle and schnitzel are even better. Great selection of German beer and food! - Graylyn Roose
Drop by if you like sports bars, berr and food combination. Very friendly staff, too. - Engin Cilasun
