Intimate yet trendy spot with unique twists on Kor-Ameri dishes & desserts ! Bing bread and sesame leaves to start, choose a variety of mains but be careful, some dishes (Bi Bom Bap/Kimchi) are spicy !
Bing bread was really yummy - loved the bacon and potatoes . The short ribs were incredible - some of the best I've ever had. Also really loved the trout and bibimbap ! Yummy food, great service!
Yes, try the bing bread because it's delicious. The boudin noir is also a must. Dolsot bi bim bop lovers will be delighted with chef 's playful version of this classic dish.
Squid ink conchiglie with sea scallops sugo nero and Xo, boudin noir dumplings with hot pepper sauce , cocoa nib ice cream with potato and whey caramel . Chef Kim was very kind to come greet us!

Definitely worth the trip out from downtown. You can walk-in early and sit at the bar . Michelin starred , but reasonably priced. European presentation, Asian flavors.
The passionfruit curd made my brain explode—I literally couldn't think straight afterward. I've dreamed about it every night for the last two weeks. I've started crying at work, longing to taste again
Everything is meant to be shared so try lots of dishes! The egg drop soup was very tasty, kind of sweet. The tuna comes in a hot pot , sizzling at the table. The cauliflower was probably my fave!
I loved this new korean spot in Avondale. The menu changes regularly, so you will always be surprised. Bi bim bop , mandu and goat stew are fun dishes with interesting flavors. And service is impeccable

Awesome, ambitious Korean food in trendy , low key vibes. Bibimbap , rice cakes , and the bing bread were all standouts.
So many good things here, but the real highlight is the tea cake with honey and chocolate lavender ice cream . Try the cauliflower too, the ribs , and the pork belly pancakes .
Everything we had here were amazing. It's one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Chicago now. The flavor combinations are slick!

They're really nice about allergies and dietary restrictions. They'll write on the menus (which is great - makes menu planning easier) and work with you to make sure everything works!
The vegetable tempura is as it should be: delicate, crisp and focused. The vegetables vary with the season (meaning the $4 price may as well , says chef and co-owner Beverly Kim). Read more

Delicious food. Bing bread excellent as promised. had food and drink tasting. Food and servers excellent. Try broccoli and the chocolate dessert , or anything.
Best bi bim bap I've ever eaten! We tried & loved all the appetizers & all the desserts , as well . This was a really great menu!
My favorite restaurant in Chicago . Their menu is always changing, but one rule always applies - save room for dessert !
Excellent, casual service. Delicious food—not a single off note. Standouts: oyster , beet banchan, broccoli , ddukbokki.
Great spot. Bing bread , oysters , squash all excellent. Beverage manager knows his wine . Would definitely go back.
Cannot rave enough about our dinner . The hand-pulled noodles were the highlight. Everything was glorious until the desert showed up. I'm still pissed about it how underwhelming the three items were.
Very trendy and hip asian fusion food. Make sure to try the scallion pancake .
Chefs choice/tasting menu. It might seem pricey but for 6-7 courses it's a sweet deal
Totally recommended the grilled pork collar, it's amazing, tasty and tender
Chef Beverly Kim and Johnny Clark were nominated for Best chef : Great Lakes 2017 James Beard Award.
The yuba was very special. That’s what i liked on the menu.. not really fan of the other ones we tried..
Interesting modern take on Korean. Tasting menu + drink pairing = $100
Hot bing bread - that sour cream butter !
Everything was great, drink pairings were awesome.
The Turnip Appetizer and the Pavlova Dessert are really good.
The crispy stuffed sesame leaves were amazing
Ask for what wines they have behind the bar !
Mixed of nice flavors.
