South Side Riverfront Park

Nice new Pittsburgh Park and trail in the shadows of the Hot Metal Bridge and the Hofbrau Haus. Easy river access from South Side Works (former steel mill ) for boating on the Mon River .

Love coming here. Can get a walk/run in. watch trains (eastbound signals under the Birmingham Bridge ), and people watch .

Be sure to check out the old Pump House. If you look below the foundation there is a peep hole where you can view the old underground pumps still left there from the steel mill .

Park off the Three Rivers Heritage Trail next to the famed Hofbrauhaus

Beautiful trail . Nice to run on. Watch out for bikes . Slower to right. No more than 2 across.

Good place to watch trains on CSX's Pittsburgh Subdivision.

DON'T feed the duxx & geese bread . Feed them birdseeds or whole grains .

Bring lots of food for the geese but watch your fingers and toes!!

Great public boat launch
