Mahony's has real po' boy bread from Leidenheimer's and crispy fried chicken livers with a creamy coleslaw to tone down the gaminess. It's balanced and so simple. Read more

Drove to NO From NC. Heard about this place on food network. It didn't disappoint. Wow. We had the French fry PO boy and the root beer ham . Amazing! The sweet potato pie is out of this world!

Colleen Loria

The shrimp po boy was absolutely delicious. The roast beef po poy is made with chuck Roast not the typical type of beef usually used in RB po boys . It was good but the prices were very very high!

Bryan Irace

Great sandwiches , if you’re over by the cemetery . Not sure it’s worth trekking all the way here just for the food if you’re not already in the neighborhood , as I’m sure there are comparable places.

Cameron Garrard

The service was great, and the Fried Shrimp Po'boy was delicious. With some background music , and TV 's, Mahony's is a great place for lunch !

Anna de Jesus

Good pacemaker and jumbo shrimp poboy . Ask for the mini or 6 inch. Lots of food. Oyster is market price, so can be pricey . Great breading on the oyster

Andy Campbell

Agree with previous posts on the Peacemaker on price. Pretty expensive but very good. I suggest putting a little Louisiana hot sauce on the sandwich . Adds the perfect missing component: heat!

Anne Fader

Yes it's pricy but the food is GOOD! Get a peacemaker , some fries and sweet tea . You won't have room for dessert but try if you can.

Find. Eat. Drink.

Chef Adolfo Garcia says, “get the chicken liver po-boy with coleslaw .” We also love the grilled shrimp , fried green tomatoes & remoulade . That’s chef Wicks’ grandmother delivering the po-boys from the

Great sandwiches and crispy shoestring onion rings . Lots of cute browsing and shopping in the hood too.

Miranda McDonald

The pig fries are delicious, and as much food as a poboy , if not more. The fried shrimp was good. It was a bit expensive .

Kimberly H.

Yummy po-boys, huge portions ....outdoor seating ....loaded fries/dirty fries ...whatever they're called, they're awesome

Lisa Jett

In NY we call them "heroes" and they're usually heavy and filling. These po-boys were tasty and light and overpriced. Bloody Mary was good and spicy .

Will N

Ask how much your "Market Price" item is going to be to avoid sticker shock. I spent $14.95 on Shrimp/Fried Green Tomato/Remoulade Poboy when trying to get a cheap lunch .

PARANOLA

Mahony’s is a popular place for the PARANOLA team to hang out and discuss ongoing investigations, paranormal theories... and eating some tremendous po-boys! Stop by, you could run into one of us!

I do love the grilled shrimp and fried green tomato poboy here but recent long waits and decline in shrimp quality have demoted this one favorite to a rare choice for me. Too many other poboy places.

Becky Morrow

Can't go wrong. Portions are huge and delicious.

Maggie MacG

The salad with the raisins is good but maybe get the dressing on the side.

Doug Overvold

Unbelievable Po'Boy. Pot Roast is the bomb. And dirty fries . Pretty fast got sandwich

John Traub

Get here early to avoid the line and enjoy one of the greatest sandwiches you will ever have

Colleen Newvine Tebeau

The fried green tomato and shrimp remoulade po boy is amazing -- but don't do it if you're in a hurry. This isn't a rush in and rush out place.
