Wonderful museum but bewarned it is a few degrees warmer inside than out. Lovely museum shop, closes 10 minutes BEFORE the museum . Don't miss the Pullman car, snowplow, and great historical narratives
If you have little ones make sure to check out the little trains that they can play with.
Amazing museum ! Make sure to clear a few hours out of your schedule for the museum as the museum is very large and there is a lot to see!
Has a climate controlled interior since 2012. Allow a minimum of an hour for your visit. Rail fans 3 hrs.
As of the middle of Oct 2011 there is construction going on inside. They are adding much needed HVAC to the building. Which makes it a bit loud and areas are closed off.
