Balzac’s has transformed the circa 1895 Pump House into a two storey Grand Parisian style café. A giant Vaudeville chandelier casts a soft glow for sitting back and watching the bustling activity of this unique district.

Cool interior with Historical vibes, can't stop thinking of their butter tart !
The art is really cool! The coffee was good, I'd sit in front of the stairway to get a good view of the art and the ppl around!
Nice place and good coffee , however look out for busy days. The make most coffees "by hand" and it could take up to 20mins for a latte when there's a lineup (saturday afternoon)
Expreso coffee is so good! Highly recommendable if you like strong black coffee . Really nice place and neighborhood .
The vibe is super at all of them but I am partial to The Distillery . Go upstairs take a great coffee and pastry .
Very polite and friendly staff . They do have lactose free cow milk ???????? latte was great ????????
Cold brews here for a break from the summer heat in The Distillery . Birds love to fly into the shop. Apparently, revitalized after help from TV show Dragons' Den, Canada's predecessor to Shark Tank.
Very good expresso ! Highly recommendable if you like strong black coffee . Nice place and neighborhood .
Their coffee is excellent and if you can get your hands on a piece of their carrot cake , do so. Also, how gorgeous is this location!
Consistently delicious coffee . Strong roasts without tasting burnt. Staff are absolutely lovely. Really cool artwork. Ambiance is fantastic. One of the
All is great: coffee , pastry , location. With great outside seating in the middle of the Distillery area.
Beautiful Design and Old Style culture makes this place up. Only been once, but I will be back. Sit outside and enjoy the cobblestone patio in the distillery district
Warm, rustic , excellent coffee . But not many places to sit, and nothing to eat but cookies . Worth it for the coffee though.
Amazing Cafe Canadien with local maple syrup ! ...I also added whipped cream ????☕️
Beautiful vibe, their Parisian mist is a nice alternative! Pretty cool coffee spot in Distillery District! And they have Maccademia nut milk , awesome!:)
LOVE the decor, have only been here during Christmas Market so it was always busy.
Probably my favourite spot in the city . Upper level is a delight. Can't even remember what the muffin tasted like.
Organic Hot chocolate with a shot of expresso makes a perfect mocha .
Beautiful and tasty Latte , great location. Been to Balzac's in Stratford Ontario and Berlin, Germany.
Atmosphere is cozy , WiFi and lots of uppity folks !
So glad there's an upstairs . They carry mariage freres tea here, which is excellent!
Hot chocolate ! Also relax in the upstairs cafe , super quiet up there :)
Bring a great book (fiction), pick up a Green Tea and CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE and sit upstairs ! Best ambiance for people watching or escaping from reality for a short while!
Great atmosphere, great decor and free charging areas. Oh! and fresh lemonade in the summer :)
If you're lost at the distillery , meet up here. No way you can miss that huge green door.
find a cozy spot upstairs ! best place for coffee in distillery , staff are very nice.
Cappuccino is strong also a nice place to sit and hangout!
Try the toasted almond latte or the hot chocolate . Look and taste amazing!
Go upstairs and sit down in the lounge at the top. Pretty chill ... Nice atmosphere ☕
I love the Balzac's product and company in general, but the service here was markedly unfriendly in comparison to Stratford and smokers sitting outside made it a bit gross.
This place is fantastic. The employees are wonderful and everything's top notch. An organic hot chocolate is a classic choice :)
Great coffee chain and beautiful location, but the staff have dead eyes.
Great coffee ! Didn't stick around to soak in the atmosphere, but the coffee was good.
In response to no wifi , who wants this cafe to turn into a computer like so many others! Not me. I like the vibe here. Great place!
free wifi , almond milk available and great atmosphere

The Winter Warmers are perfect for wandering around the Christmas village .
My favorite coffee shop in Toronto.
Disgruntled employees complaining amongst themselves. Putting coffee handle on machine, walking away + coming back 2 minutes later to start the shot extraction. Bad barista with no training obviously
