Great old-school bowling alley that also sells drinks. Perfect for neighborhood families & groups of 20-somethings, this place is just like Mark and Maple Lanes used to be. Cheap , too. Get the fries !
When you get a look at this place, you’ll know that gourmet burgers have no business here. But if you’re hungry and not in the mood for the taco truck outside, you won’t be unhappy with the hamburger . Read more
Go out and bowl! This is an old school spot right out of the post-disco era. There's also a bar , of course, and a little arcade area in the back if you get tired of all the heavy lifting. Read more
You remember life before pretentious , 'classy ' bowling ? This place is it.
Packed. Love that the lanes are a bit high tech and that you can play games or chat with other lanes but the staff isn’t the friendliest or particularly helpful.
A little pricier than what I'm used to, everything is in good condition though, and it's a chill atmosphere.
The lanes are kinda too close, but I guess if you want to make friends, then it's cool. The music videos are current and it's loud enough for entertainment. The bathrooms are clean .
When bowling , try to stay focused in spite of both the awesome (vintage) and awful (current) music videos being played on the big screens .
Old school bowling spot. Good for a few frames and a few beers , served up by the legendary bartender
Ask for the Pete's Special. It comes in green, red, and purple. You can get rainbow too, but it ends up being purple. Also: you will end up very drunk and will feel insane, in a good way
life goals.
Simple, old-fashioned bowling alley that charms you with its vintage feel. While waiting for a lane, hang out with Pete their famous bartender .
Winner of Best Bowling Alley in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! Sassy bartenders and glow-in-the-dark bowling - what more do you need?
I like this place. It is nice and cozy but it gets packed sometimes. The staff is helpful and nice. The bartender is hilarious, he reminds me of a bartender from 50's polishing the glasses and talking Read more
Retro beauty, though bar doesn't handle credit cards all that well .
Pete the Bartender is a national treasure and filled with laughs. Bowlong is always good on a Friday night.
It's cheap to book a party and pretty close to the subway. The staff are super nice!
Highlights of the food menu include curly fries and pizza . The pizzas are small though, you might need three.
Tuesdays ladies bowl free! Don't miss it. They have a bar and pretty big alley for it's size
Cheap drinks , fried food, recently renovated lanes. What's not to love?
There was a time, long, long ago when Brooklyn was full of bowling alleys . Now only a few remain and this one, in the same spot since 1958, is the real thing.
Was there today great service! Clean place would highly recommend this bowling place
awesome place to bowl. get the fred special.
Magically transport yourself back to the bowling alleys of your childhood. This place is a time capsule.
Was here on a Saturday late afternoon and all lanes were booked . There was a 2 hour wait. Luckily our friend had a reservation . Place felt a bit under staffed.
When buying scratch off lottery tickets, be careful to put your bills in the correct slot :-/
Open late every night of the week. Why not bowl at 10pm on a Monday?
It's like stepping back in time. Really kept well , averagely priced.
Probably one of the last old skool bowling alley left in the NYC. Classic 80's decor!
Come for the bowling , stay for the bar .
Thursday Nights are half off drinks and pitchers are only $5! Read more
Good old fun! Bartender is a pretty cool Santa-like old man.
The best family party venue this side of Park Slope.
Make sure to say hi to the mutton-chopped bartender .
The ONLY bowling place in my Likebox (so far). Sorry Brooklyn Bowl and Lucky Strike. Bowling should not cost more than 7 bucks no matter how cool you are. Read more
Best bowling alley of all time. Make sure The Pete is working the bar . You'll never leave.
Cheap . Good for dates !
great Bowling alley and fine food
My bowling alley . The only place for real bowling in New York City . None of that disco black-light bull shit.
Super cheap food and very friendly service , South Brooklyn style.
Old school bowling glory. A must!
Best bartender in Brooklyn
Get Petey to show you his pictures from yesteryear and get the cheesies from the top right corner of the vending machine.
This place is not hip , but I won't hold that against them. The terrible service, waiting over an hour even though they had open lanes, and shoddy equipment I will hold against them! Don't bowl here.
Small but quaint
Simple bowling alley . $37 for a couple 2 games with shoes $43 for 1 hr of bowling
Petes Special. That is all
have a pitcher of bud with the the eccentric , hilarious, cursing bartender , peter. you won't be disappointed.
Pete- the only Bartender that will wear his famous penguin outfit NIGHTLY!
Spend time at the bar with famous Brooklynite, Pete the bartender . Very formal cumberbun.
