Best view in Chicago! Get brunch on the 95th and ask to be seated on the water side. Lake Michigan is stunning and tranquil and ahh. You can go to the 96th to grab drinks / apps as well .
The Hancock Tower is never crowded as The Sears Tower , and you get the same amazing view from here! For the photographers , unfortunately tripods are not allowed on the observatory !
Best up-top skyscraper views I've seen. Take the 40-second elevator ride (fast) up to get shots of Lake Michigan, the parks , beaches , lakeshore, skyline & more. Grab a coffee or cocktail up-top!
Skip Willis tower and go here for great views of the city . There is a bar and comfy chairs placed where you can enjoy a drink and the breathtaking views of the best city in the world.
FAR better than The Skydeck . Much quieter and a more pleasant experience here. You must experience The Tilt if visiting here though, just be prepared to hold on tight!
I went here like two weeks ago and I had so much fun ! It was such an amazing view ! I also got on the tilt;). I would totally go again maybe next time when it's dark out and see all the city lights ;D
Stunning view over Chicago’s skyline, good value for money if you buy the Chicago Citypass (you’ll still have to pay $8 extra for the ‘tilt’ experience).
Amazing views of the Chicago skyline! Tickets are good for an hour after their stated time, so don’t worry if you’re running a bit late.
Amazing 360 view of Chicago City ???? Dont forget to try The Tilt !!! Totally new Experience.. Highly Recommended ????
Nice view . Great place to get a nightcap and see the city at night. I could see coming here in the summer to see the navy pier fireworks with a captain and coke in hand.
Come around evening it's amazing! Catch the sunset and then do the tilt. Totally worth getting the pics
Absolutely the best view in Chicago. Worth to seeing.
Definitely worth the wait but be prepared. We were in line almost 1.5 hours from start to finish. Wear comfy shoes lol.
The view is great, but unfortunately you cannot take pictures without nets or glass in front of you, leading to a lot of reflections in night pictures. No access to the roof.
the views are absolutely amazing! if you're 21+, get the ticket and drink deal to enjoy a brew as you take in the scenery.
Catch a view of Chicago , grab a cocktail , and relax. For thrill seekers try the tilting window
The Hancock Tower is considered the grandfather of all skyscrapers , and its 96th floor views of Chicago 's skyline and the lake will take your breath away. Be sure to take some pictures up there!
The views all round from here would definat be the best than from any of the other towers...
Save $10 and go up to the 96th floor instead of going on the Observation deck on the 94th. You can have a drink and enjoy just as good a view !
Located on the 94th floor of the building 1,000 feet above the Magnificent Mile, it's the city 's only open-air skywalk. Here you'll see an incredible 360-degree view of Chicago , WI, IN & parts of IL.
Best Chicago view ! Buy the $25usd entrance...beer or cocktail included!
Glorious views of the city in every direction - learn about the sites through one of the Soundscope talking telescopes, then head to the Signature Room for a drink! -- Green Guide Editor
An open-air SkyWalk at John Hancock Observatory , not only gives you great views of the city , it also lets invites you to take a breath of fresh air !
If you have time to go twice, I would recommend visiting once in the morning around 10am and again right before sunset .
Amazing night view .
I loved the view of Chicago from here it is breathtaking.
Ice skating is a joke. It's a small rink and it's plastic, not ice. It's also 7 dollars on top of the admission fee.
If you're eligible, remember to show your military affiliation to get a good doscount. Chicago is very supportive of the US military .
Stunning views from the observatory ! 20 dollars each
Friends coming into town ? Take them up to the 96th Floor Lounge for a drink, appetizers and a spectacular view of Chicago . No admission fee!
10x better than Sears Tower . Better views of the city , great audio tour , espresso bar and much nicer employees. Skip the Sears Tower and come here instead!
The tilt was awesome and so was watching the sunset . Liked it more than skydeck .
Go at sunset and sit in the West section
Don't miss this place if you visit Chicago!!
Go for the ticket that allows two visits in 48 hours. You get the daytime and nighttime view !
Go there between 10 and 11 am (during winter) and you easily can pass through.
Wonderful view of the Chicago. Definitely overpriced. And don't get food up there.
While waiting for a table at the always busy Cheesecake Factory, take a ride up to the Observatory for a spectacular view of the most beautiful city in the world!
Really worth to try their attractions
With incredible views spanning up to 80 miles and four states , the John Hancock Observatory exceeds your loftiest expectations.
Visit 10 - 20 minutes before sunset . That way you get the best of the day and night views in one visit.
Same, if not better, view than Sears Tower and definitely not as crowded . After sunset is gorgeous.
A great alternative to the Skydeck . Or do both - one during the day and one at night.
went here on a foggy day and they warned about limited visibility. The fog was AWESOME and made for great photos.
Worth getting in just before sunset to have both day and night lights
Signature room for drinks. Bring yr cell chargers too, plenty of places to recharge at yr table while You relax.
Go to the Signature room and get a drink. It is one floor higher and you don't have to pay the observatory fee.
Buy the boat tour & observatory combo for $35 - instead of paying for them separate (that is, if you want to do both)
Try getting there before 6:30 for better seats by the window. May even be earlier on weekends.
Take time to read the information it makes it oh so clear!

The bruschetta is actually really good. FYI - you get 4 (big) portions, so it's a great share plate too. - Matthew Rathbone
