KYO is the newcomer: You pretty much can’t go wrong with their menu, especially if you order the Gaijin maki rolls (caramelized onions , tempura cheese , avocado , spicy mayo , and beef sashimi ).

Vi Tan

Huge sake list here. Vibe is definitely more high end and pricey . The kyo roll was unique and flavourful. Kalbi ribs were also well done. Try the Yuzu donuts !

Nathan Wright

A modern take on Japanese and sushi . KYO's atmosphere is lively , youthful and energetic. We took the waiter 's recommendations on food and enjoyed everything. Fantastic cocktails , too!

Polina Weitz

Loved this place! Great sashimi salad , delicious sushi rolls and an incredible yuzu beignets dessert . Impeccable service and a fun vibe. Don't miss it!

Christine L.

Great ambiance, amazing service. The Japanese Surf & Turf is delicious and the sushis super fresh. Make sure you try the beignets for dessert , you won't regret it.

Chris Gregan

Tuna spring roll was amazing and worth the trip alone. Sashimi is ocean front fresh and expertly prepared.

Jessica

Legit sushi ! Great with some sake or cocktails in a romantic restaurant . Will come back even though it's a bit expensive .

Timo Sand

The Kyi Makis were absolutely awesome. The taste combination and texture was incredible! Also, they have pretty good kimchi

Ruchika B

Obsessed with this place! Food is so good. My favs: Pinky Ginger (cocktail ), Beef Sashimi , Hamachi Bibimbap , Chicken Yakitori .

Chris Gregan

Sushi ! Sea bass was a new nigiri for me and it was delicious. Seaweed salad is a meal in itself. Everything was expertly prepared.

bass meister

best sushi I had in North America! Perfectly temperatured, just like in Japan. UNI was out of this world and for 5$/pcs very fair

Mencia Baez

The Hamachi Bibimbap was a fantastic new experience! Really good and really recommend

Bill Lim

The beef tongue , udon , and cocktails were good but my shogan roll took forever and was served last, essentially as everyone else at the table was done with their entrees.

Carmine Paolino

One of the best Japanese I’ve eaten at. Take the 9 course meal for 2. Was hard to pick the best dish

Slapped right in the middle of Old Montreal, KYO was opened by the folks behind Groupe Antonopoulos on June 20th. A chill , bar-oriented Japanese spot, it offers over 25 varieties of sake .

Jorge Hernández

Excellent service ! The nigiris were superb, they melted in your mouth.

Mencia Baez

The donuts with yuzu and the bread pudding were amazing desserts !!!!

Jason H.

Excellent friendly service and really good sushi . Great option if you're in the mood for sushi in Montreal

Eric Benchimol

Try the Kyo (strawberries on top and sweet) and the Haru (cucumber roll instead of rice ) - very imaginative!

C M

good for dates . miso soup , rice , beef , rainbow sushi , mushrooms , and service were all great.

Susan S.

Tasty sushi/sashimi and seriously really good miso soup . I really liked this place!

Farah H

One of the best chicken I’ve had, their sushi is impeccable

J Crowley

Wanted to like this place but some drawbacks. Pork gyoza is bland. Service, although friendly , is comically slow. Snake roll oddly tastes like Play-Doh. The one highlight was the bimbibob. ????????

Philippe Fortin

5 stars service, cool ambience and excellent food. Must try the Kyo maki .

Frederik Verleye

They did a great job, even though there was no salmon that night

Dimitri A

Try the Pomelo Old Fashioned! Great twist to the classic!

Omble Chevalier ... ! On my life, I swear

Jean-françois Coremans

Présentation de qualité, belle fraîcheur des sashimi , les légumes et crevettes en tempera particulièrement bien réussis : croquants en surface et tendres à coeur.
