Pork loin set ($19.80). Served with miso soup , pickles (nice!), plus unlimited rice & shredded cabbages . Surigama dip , yellow mustard & a slice of lemon for taste

Cheen The Curious

Suriguma dip . Amount of ground sesame is little. Do you sprinkle into black sauce & mix? Or would you scoop some sauce onto the sesame to mix? I did the latter

Joy Sakurai

If u're thinking of trying out the Michelin star Katsu , don't. Standards have dropped n they seem to have ran out of breadcrumbs . Tonkichi & Saboten would better satisfy your Katsu craving.

Cheen The Curious

Very generous with their shredded cabbage . Same huge bowl, even for 1 person. Refillable. The dressing was salty on its own but rebalances when added into the cold salad

Cheen The Curious

Lemon juice is probably the lightest you can add on your tonkatsu , compared to yellow mustard or suriguma dip

Cheen The Curious

Enjoy ordering pork loin cut. It has some fat to give the tonkatsu a juicy & tender bite

Cheen The Curious

Enjoyed a light touch of yellow mustard . Offers a punchy aroma, compared to suriguma dip which can be overly sweet & salty

Tonkatsu and other fried items were very well done. The katsu curry was quite yummy, but like most items, a tad salty.

Cheen The Curious

There are also sharing portions, as well as noodles if you don’t feel like katsu

Cheen The Curious

Warm/tap water ($1) is available on request

Food takes rather long to be served! More than half an hour. Not sure if it was worth the wait

Katsu breading is more like chicken cutlet , the pork was a bit tough. Quality got a lot worse since my last visit last year, very disappointed.

Ok katsu but love the free vege salad

Try their version of Caesar salad. Vegetables are cool and crisp and the dressing is excellent: a runny egg with a light touch of cream. The half-size is good to share between two people. - Jose Mella
