Humongous portions of tendon for special set (chicken , prawn , etc). Highlight def is fried onsen egg . Break the yolk over rice for instant heaven! The washroom has heated toilet seat cover & bidet.
Chicken tempura was surprising tasty! Big serving and value for money .Most ppl cnt finish.U will leave with a oil stench in your hair and clothes . Avoid lunch , I waited for more than 45 mins!
Very good tempura , great value at $13.90+ for the "special", which comes with prawn , chicken , and vegetable tempura ; includes steamed egg and soup by the side.
Two dishes: regular ('special') tendon , with 2 prawns , 2 slices of chicken breast , 1 egg , 1 baby corn , 1 slice of sweet potato , and 2 stalks of baby asparagus for $16.9 or Vegetable tendon , for $15.9.
Excellent and reasonably priced tempura . Prawn and veg tempura were great. Egg tempura was amazing. Wish they used fish instead of chicken though. Don't order the green tea (hot or cold, $4!).
They only offer 2 dishes—special (seafood + chicken + veggies ) & vegetable tendon . Cooked on the spot. Fresh. Reasonably priced. Highly-recommended. Prepare for long queue.
There are only 2 items on the menu. Veg or non-veg ($13.90++). Good quality rice and big portions for the price. The ayataka is overpriced though at $4. Be prepared to queue during weekday lunch hrs.
I will dream of my meal here in years to come. So deceptively simple yet so mindblowingly delicious. Flawless tempura and delicious sides in a super cool setting.
Batter is on the heavy side with an excessive oily taste unless you eat really fast. A huge portion for a good price. But it's also a 45 minute wait and you come out smelling like a giant tempura .
The special tendon was great value ! Big portions ! It was strange having tendon with chicken though, and our tempura wasn't quite as crispy as I'd liked it to be. Good tendon but not the best...
You will leave the restaurant smelling. Nasty! But it's affordable and tasty. Only two choices-- special or vegetarian . Former was delicious.
2 menus. Special or vegetarian . I had the special. Overall it's OK. Not the best I had. The environment is not very nice as the cooling space is open so there are many oil vapors in the air.
Very good QUALITY and value Tendon in a nice cosy restaurant .
Tendon of chicken , egg , shrimp , asparagus & sweet potato . Fresh and good.
Special tendon @ $13.90 - really awesome! But the $4 Ayataka could be skipped.
Great food but have to queue for 30-45 min.. worth or not, u decide...
Go for the special tendon , yummy and affordable !
Great food, but flies in the kitchen and counter walking all over the vegetables and landing on peoples drinking straws... shame!
Long queue. Make sure your heart is set before a visit. Go early
To avoid big queue come after 9pm. Very good value for money !
Long wait but sadly not worth the wait.. the batter was dense and the ingredients weren't very tasty. I really enjoyed the tendon sauce though
Tendon is cheap and good but I didn't know the tea is $3.80 and non refillable!
This is super good and great value . Ignore the haters!
Absolutely worth it!
Tempura with sauce drizzled over it in a rice bowl . Flawed concept?
Huge serving value for money . But beware that you will smell like a tempura when you're out.
Reasonably priced tendon set but tempura batter came across as a tad limp and chewy.
Overated. Portion is big, but taste is normal with this kind of waiting time.
Lovveeeet!! Get the Special Tendon ! Now!
Do _not_ order the green tea : it's a non-refillable cup of Ayataka .
$13++ for tempura sounds good value . but got charged $4 for just a cup of hot tea and ending up paying $20+.
Special tendon is not bad
Food isn't great but very value for $. They need to do something about the air conditioning and ventilation though.
Delicious!
