El Tropicano Hotel

Staff is super friendly and the updated rooms are always clean . The hotel has a retro feel to it, and it's downtown without being too downtown. We got married here over 3 years ago, still beautiful!

Pool is beautiful - ask for a room on the 2nd floor with a sliding door that opens to the pool.

It is a beautiful place to stay, there is always great music playing, the bar is open late sometimes, the pool is lighted and closes til 11 and when it's dark it's romantic .

A little far from the sceney part of the Riverwalk, it's quiet uptown.

Speakers at the pool pump a steady stream of Cuban jazz ; the tiki bar inside is like something out of old school Vegas; overall, a very cool retro vibe .

Right on the river walk but you have to go down the street to access it. Older hotel so keep that in mind. No restaurant except for breakfast . Does have a coffee shop that has strange hours.

Staff were awesome! I really enjoyed our stay here! The bed was mega comfy !

Every elevator ride is a dance party when salsa is on the playlist.

Love the beds and pillows . Felt like we were sleeping on a cloud!

Though it is a great hotel , they will nickel and dime you like crazy...

If you get a room facing the pool and want to sleep in, you won't be able too due to loud samba music playing after 10am.

My room has a patio which you can smoke without going down to the lobby. How's that?!

Hotel is alright for the most part, the WiFi sucks ass, and if you call the front desk they will tell you to just use the business center ... Gee thanks

We just checked in ... So far I'm reasonably satisfied. Room is nice and clean .

Get a room facing the pool, not the street.
