I love going here to go rappelling and rock climbing . The views are incredible! I also enjoy the views on the hiking trails . The nature center always has something interesting to learn when visiting.
Beautiful place to hike right near New Paltz. It's private lands, so you either have to be a member, or pay a day use fee at the visitors center.
Lots of trails for hiking , great views of the mountains , and some great rock climbing too.
For rock climbing , if you visit more than 5 days in a year, the annual pass is the better deal.
Visit the website as there are four different areas for entry to the preserve. The main visitor's center is at the address above. Annual permit required to use preserve.

Turn right off 44/55 to clove rd. Lot c on left. Cross bridge , turn left, hike down for skinnydipping

Gorgeous, amazing staff, and spectacular grounds. One of the finest hotels you'll ever stay in. It's own lake, hiking trails, etc. It's rooms start at about $700 though. - Andrew G.
Amazing selection of hiking trails. We chose a few that led in a loop (total of 7 miles) and had a great time. Explore the path leading to Gertrude's Nose. A bit difficult, but definitely worth it! - Paige C
