Surprise Lake

A great little lake for fishing from shore taking the family or practicing your casting. Visiting family in Sun City West and the lake is very easy to get to. Great to see families there! Very clean .

I have seen many anglers catch catfish using worms, dough bait or hot dogs . I have caught 3 large mouth so far casting finesse plastic baits fishing 2 mornings one afternoon. Thumbs up!

Stocked with trout in the winter cats in the summer. Couple years back I saw several 4lb class rainbows pulled. .all males

I understand that the lake is fed from Lake Pleasant run off not reclaimed water. .can't back that up with paperwork though ; 0)
